Draft at the brewpub. Nice copper/amber colour. Off-white head - slight orange nuance. Acidic-sweet aroma. Spicy. - Orange peels? Sweet, bitter flavour. Fruity. A bit malty. Jeppe (2634) - Brooklyn, Alabama, USA - NOV 23, 2004

Draught at Apollo Bryggeri, Denmark.
Hazy amber colored with a fine off-white head. Apollo yeast in the aroma as usual along with malt, melon and grassy tones. Not very heavy but fresh. Flavor is sweet malty and caramelly with plenty of fruit and Apollo yeast in there also. Medium bodied and a dry finish. Surprisingly light for an Apollo beer, specially considering it’s their christmas brew!
Draught @ the brewpub: Amber coloured. Unclear. Light beige dense head. Good lasting. Yeast, hops and some fruit and malt notes in the aroma. Hops, light spicenotes and some fruit charcters in the flavour. Is somewhat vague and lacks some character. Is mild and smooth in the end. Thin bodied and dies quickly on the palate. fiulijn (21214) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 30, 2003

Dark amber color, creamy head. Nice aroma of malt, some hop. Reasonable body structure, malty, some sweetness, caramel, some aromatic hop. Ends with a strong caramel-like bitterness, still some malt. Good blend, just too much caramel and lightly metallic.
Copper-amber color; generous head. Malty aroma, caramel; light. Average body strength, but quite a lot of malt character in the front (drier than suspected), then the caramel and finally a fairly good hopping, as usual from Apollo (maybe a little thin and lacking of character).

Hazy amber color; generous and thick head; wonderful lace. Very nice aroma: hop and fruits (mango, cherries, plums). Good body structure, with a residual sweetness and a good hopping; enough caramel; maybe just too much aggressive (too much carbonation). More caramel and less hop aroma than the Apollo Pilsner in the final, but it’s quite long and strong anyway, also with a long, nice sweet note.
UPDATED: MAY 14, 2006 A deep red unclear beer (not filteret) with a beutiful head. It has a slight aroma of fruit. The flavor is very mild with notes of fruit - but no bitterness. It’s very light for a christmas beer of 5.6% abv.

Very thin and pretty uninteresting. Nice head however....................... Hildigöltur (5103) - København, DENMARK - NOV 17, 2002
Mild and caramelly. Not as sweet as most Danish Christmas beers. Very pleasant, but expensive. A 2liter bottle costs 216 Danish Kroner (27$) duff (5486) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 21, 2001
Nice Chritmas brew, hoppy, creamy, and nice easy flavours (perhaps a bit of licorice). Very nice.
