This is as good Pilsner as it gets. Why light Beers do not get ratings at this forum, I dont know. Good handcraft; delicate aroma, smooth to the palate, a bitternes that is both subtle and apparent, and it takes me back to Plzen, where Ive had Urquell and Gambrinus amongst others. If this beer dont get ratings, it must be because one dont like pilsner.
On addition, a very nice brewer who gave me the recipe.

I thought it was more of a Vienna, but this is great lager either way - fresh, with a juicy hoppiness, smooth maltiness and fantastic balance. Maybe the best lager in Denmark. Jeppe (2631) - Brooklyn, Alabama, USA - JUN 10, 2004

Unclear dark orange beer with a foamy off-white head. Malty, hoppy and Apollo-yeasty aroma. Sweet and creamy and very full for a pilsener. Flowers, pilsner malt and hops in the flavor. Flavorfull and full-bodied with a bitterdry finish. Nice!
Nice dark yellow color and surprisingly flavorful for a pilsner. Really nice taste and feel. Try it! mogo (38) - California, USA - OCT 27, 2001
Nice amber color and surprisingly flavorful for a pilsener. Went well with my steak and was the best beer I had while in Denmark.

On tap at the brewpub, Copenhagen. Pours clear, rich gold with a big, white foam head. Nose holds a bit of toasty cereal, nice biscuits, and dry, floral grass. Light to medium sweet flavor with good, toasty bread and biscuits, light dank floral notes, some light, dry grassy bitterness. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Good mouthfeel. Lightly drying on the finish, with some dirty grass bitters, toasty cereal, toasty sugars and very light grains. A very respectable pils. omhper (25138) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUN 9, 2002
Rddish golden appearance. Sweet murky malty aroma. Firm malt character, some drystal malt character. Some bitterness and pleasant hop aromatic finish. Like a pleasant cross between a Franconian kellerbier and a Danish lager. madsberg (11770) - Søborg, DENMARK - DEC 29, 2002
UPDATED: FEB 10, 2003 Light amber coloured. Huge head. Aroma is very malty. Is very smooth and malty in the flavour. Notes of bread. Light bitter in the aftertaste. fiulijn (20516) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 14, 2003

Hazy copper color. The aroma shows a very nice crispy malt and let’s hope for something great; indeed the flavor is not bad (maybe it takes some time to get a rounder mouthfeel), but not exceptional. The thing that disappoints me a bit is the bitterness: quite harsh (too long hop infusion?). Pleasant.

Golden color, hazy. Nice aroma; some malt and hop, fruity. Too dry taste, not enough malt nor hop. Ordinary palate. Less interesting than the Apollo.

Rather dry taste, with an impressive hop character, not too bitter, but a lot aromatic, and a bit fruity. Compared to <a href=’http://www.ratebeer.com/ShowBeer.asp?BeerID= Dunkles it’s more aggressive and the body weaker, compared to <a href=’http://www.ratebeer.com/ShowBeer.asp?BeerID= Italiano Tipopils it has more malt and less hop, fruiter and less herbal. Maybe too much aggressive with the high carbonation, and still a bit metallic; with less carbonation, it’s sweeter than the Tipopils and the malt is more evidentiated.
When warmer, the score may even be 10/5/9/5/18!

Gold color, thick and generous head. Wonderful and deep hop aroma. Very good mix of malt and hop, good body, rather dry. Good hop palate, well aromatic, medium-long, with a residual sweetness/smoothness.
A surprisingly good pilsner.
