TBone (17676) - Pori, FINLAND - NOV 21, 2013
Keg@brewpub Dark amber-copper color, good creamy beige head. Herbal hoppy, caramelly aroma. Quite light bodied for this ABV. Berryish (strawberry, lingonberry), slightly caramelly. Has something what is probably "house flavor" for Apollo (and typical for large mainstream brewpubs)

Draught@Apollo, Copenhagen. This one came out as a treat, as they had just found a semifull keg of beer in the back, so this wasn’t on the whiteboard, it was one of the workers who just came and asked if I have tasted this one, as they have some left in a keg in the back. During this CPH BF 2013 visit here I got some of the best customer service I’ve ever gotten at Apollo. So the Scottish strong ale (I was told 6.2 %) was a hazy pale ambery brown colour with a mediumsized white creamy head. Aroma was leathery, quite sweet malts with some nutty and floral notes. Flavour was rather similar with some mild yeasty notes, which actually did suite in quite well.

kermis (13657) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - MAY 7, 2013
Draft sampled at the brewpub. Pours hazy brown with a cream colored head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, light cocoa and fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter. A strange aftertaste that I can’t place spoils it. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

On tap at the brewpub, shared. Thick creamy white head. Clear amber pour. A bit sour. Not great.

allesmetkaas (170) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 6, 2013
From the tap @ Apollo Bryggeriet. Pours clear dark chestnut, lightly carbonated with a white head. Slightly sweet caramel malt aroma. Malty with a touch of citrus. Light carbonation explodes gently on the tongue.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear amber/copper beer with a lasting beige head. Malty sweetish aroma, bready, fruity, sugary, grapes and pears. Malty fruity flavor, roasted notes, caramel, toffee, some alcohol. Thin bodied, fruity finish with butter and some vinous notes.

humlelala (1375) - DENMARK - APR 21, 2013
(on tap @ Bryggeriet Apollo) Pours a clear, dark amber with medium, tan head and lively carbonation. Good retention and lace. Aroma is malt with notes of toffee and a hint of smoke. As the beer warms some less savoury notes emerge that seemingly resemble cabbage. Oily texture, medium body and a lingering, slightly bitter finish. Flavour is a bit off with some slightly acidic notes and the toffee profile is not distinct. I appreciate getting a chance to taste this relatively rare style but I’m not sure this one is representative of what the style has to offer.

Draught @ Bryggeriet Apollo, Vesterbrogade 3, 1620 Copenhagen, Denmark.

Clear medium orange amber colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, toffee, moderate hoppy, light orange - citrus. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, caramel, toffee, dry, hoppy, moldy ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130107]

250ml, 6.2% abv, on tap at Apollo. Decent white, lacing-head to a clear amber coloured body. Aroma of caramel and dark bread with notes of hops. Flavour of caramel and fruity hops, mid-sweet. Bittersweet ending. Medium bodied. Tasty (Copenhagen, 20.03.2013).

Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 3, 2013
On tap. Pours an almost clear warm amber with a creamy off-white head. Tart aroma, notes of caramel as well. Medium-bodied, sweet caramel and then again a light berry-like tartness. No real bitterness but some warming late alcohol. Unclean. 070113
