I had a growler (2l bottle) filled and then brought it home and tasted it the same evening. It poured a medium reddish brown with a big creamy tan head that dissipated slowly. Taste was slightly sweet caramel taste followed by a pronounced bitterness of both malt and hops, which was rounded off by a dry walnut aftertaste. Mouth feel was heavy and nutty.
On tap at the brewpub. A cute-looking beer with a clear, amber body and a two-finger dense beige head. Malty on the nose with caramel and nuttyness. Slightly roasted flavor with caramel and nuts. There’s also the typical Apollo house profile in it, probably the yeast playing a part. Some fruits too and a touch of bitterness. Silky mouthfeel, but a bit thin. Short finish. Sure drinkable, but also slightly boring. (080912) fonefan (49437) - VestJylland, DENMARK - NOV 19, 2008
Draught @ Apollo Brewpub, Vesterbrogade 3, Copenhagen, Denmark.fiulijn (20516) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 5, 2008
Unclear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, nutty walnut, moderate to light heavy toffee - buttery. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. The toffee flavor hide the walnut flavor very well ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (280808)
Draught at Sct. Clemens brewpub, Århus, 5% ABVRune (12829) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 1, 2008
Hazy brown color, creamy small head. It has a quite nice aroma of chocolaten caramel, malt, maybe hop. The flavor is less interesting, mild roasted malt, very dry, that with a quite high bitterness becomes almost harsh. Difficult. And 1 point less for using wallnuts: please stop throwing anything in beer!
250ml draught at the brewpub in Copenhagen. Thin, off-white head resting on a deep, copper-amber body. Aroma of sweet nutty malts. The taste is dominated by walnut dryness mixed with some kind of spicy sweetness. So and so (11.09.2008). Fin (10542) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 28, 2008
On tap at St Clemens Brewpub Aarhus 17-09-08 Pours reddy/brown with light beige head (though not much head) Soft tasting in the mouth, sweet and malty. There is little evidence of walnuts in the mouth so I wonder if this refers to the colour maybe? Bar lady said it was a walnut beer. . Bit sweet not a great deal of bitterness its ok.

Tap at the brewerys restaurant, Copenhagen - thanks yngwie and Beer_2000.. Brown color, beige head. Aroma is sweet fruity and malty - can´t detect the walnut. Flavor is sweet malty, and when you know what you drink; nutty. I like this beer. Christian (13670) - Odense, DENMARK - SEP 19, 2008
Clear chestnut brown with a lasting off-white head, leaving lace. Grainy aroma with some nutty character. Sweet grainy malt flavour Beer5000 (6494) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 16, 2008
On tap at the brewpub. Fine amber body with a pale beige head. Aroma is caramel and maybe a bit nutty with some goodwill. Flavor is relatively sweet, caramel, easy bitterness and a nutty hint. As typical to so many beers from this brewery the body is thin and watery. This make the most of them rather boring. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 29, 2008
(On tap) Clear deep reddish orange with a dense and creamy beige head. Sweetish caramellish nose, but I don’t really pick up too much walnut. Medium body with sweetish caramel and perhaps a hint of nuts in the flavor - seems more like hazelnut to me though. The finish is dry with a subdued bitterness. 190808
