UPDATED: JUN 7, 2015 Dark brown, sweet chocolate smell. Resembles a milk stout. Nice heavy creamy body. Significant hop finish to balance, maybe even a little too much.Best part of the experience is the creamy chocholate mid palate. Thought this was a solid attempt.
Taste has really nice chocolate with a balance of roasted nuts and coffee. Overall very good. hopdog (12382) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 28, 2017
22oz bottle. Poured a black with an averaged sized tan head. Chocolate, some earthiness, roast, and lighter coffee in the finish. Voodoo (659) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 29, 2016
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2016 Pours a deep dark brown with a healthy light brown head which lingers.......aroma of metallic chocolate.....taste is slightly smooth beginning, slight coffee, touch of chocolate then metallic bittering finishing sweet, almost lactic sweet......ADDENDUM after reviewed, when pouring I thought I heard a "PLOP" but thought nothing of it, as I got to the bottom of the glass there was a big, olí lump of something (I will assume cocoa) which I poured out into the trash. Still not sure what it was and donít want to know, but have two more of the bottles. Unfortunate. FROTHINGSLOSH (7697) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 13, 2016
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a large foamy beige head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was bitter and roasty with cocoa powder and floral hops. The flavor was bitter and roasty and more dry than I expected with notes of cocoa and floral hops. Medium length finish. Moderately full bodied. Disappointing. BytesAndBrews (66) - - AUG 6, 2016
Dark black with a creamy brown head. Nice roasted chocolate aroma. Good roasted malt flavor with notes of chocolate.

[Bottle (12oz)] Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with an average size lasting frothy light-brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, eggshells, very light hops and notes of coffee and chocolate. Flavour of chocolate first, slightly artificial tasting, with roasted malt in the back. Average bodied. Just O.K. Sirmixsomewhat (266) - Paoli, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 14, 2015
This is a beer that tastes more like coffee than chocolate. Itís good, but Iím not a coffee drinker, so itís not something I loved so much as I respectfully appreciated. beerbrewer145 (1) - - AUG 28, 2015 does not count
Had this on tap at the Collegeville brewery. Outstanding chocolate and coffee flavors come through clear but not overpowering. Very smooth to drink and the chocolate and espresso flavors come out even better as the stout warms up. Best tasting around 45 degrees rather than ice cold
