Draft pint at the Gettysburg brewpub. Awesome name and logo, from an old Koeln guy. If you don’t get it, you shouldn’t be drinking Koelsch. Golden orange with a thin but somewhat gluey head. Virtually no aroma. Crisp, clean and biscuity-malty with a nice flowery flourish to it. Quite reminiscent of the days in Koeln. Nicely done! Clear very pale body with a small white head. The nose is honey, bread and herbs. The flavor is honey, herbs, flowers, light pepper and dough. Medium/light body is soft with light carbonation. Probably the best Appalachian beer of the night. jehoey (765) - Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 10, 2008
poured dark golden color with a half an inch of head. aroma was very light, maybe a little bit of malt. flavor was matly upfront, some toast and biscuity flavors, and dried out quite a bit as the beer finished. lean-medium bodied. excellent for style. j12601 (10950) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - AUG 28, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a glowing gold with a medium sized white head. Citrus, crisp grain. Medium bodied, and grainy. Sweet, fruity, with some empty grain flavors and crackers. Soft sweet apple finish. decaturstevo (6240) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - NOV 22, 2011
Gold pour with off white head and lace. Aroma of light sour malt, paper, and perfumy hops. Sweet caramel malt start, perfumy hops, medium bitter, and a dry finish. Medium bodied and fizzy.

Draft at the brewery. Like their lager, this was nice for its type. Crystal clear gold, small head, surprisingly good lacing, more like a cask than a keg in mouth and appearance. Not much happening in the nose. Taste has grassy notes, a little pale malt, a little hoppy bitterness, in good balance. Long bitter finish. jcwattsrugger (12418) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - AUG 25, 2008
@Market Cross PA-on tap-pours a white head and gold color. Aroma is mild grain, (Hallertau) hops, honey, fruit. Taste is grain/medium malt-caramel, honey, fruit, (Hallertau) hops. Nice. Light side of medium body.

hazy yellow, borderline cloudy. Aroma is sweet grain. Flavor is grass, hay, slight wheatiness even. Light bodied but flavorful. An excellent kolsch. LinusStick (3447) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 5, 2010
A delicious and refreshing kolsch. Suffers from what the style usually suffers from, though. Aroma was pretty weak. Some light cologne and hints of light malt. Pour was a nice light gold with a 2 finger white head. Taste was average. There was a hint of lemon, wheat and yeast but it was all very faint. The strong carbonation prohibited most of the flavors from taking over. Great summer beer, though dancatts (91) - Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 14, 2007
Had it at Harrisburg on tap. Lighter color and a slightly hoppy aroma. Tastes similar to a pale ale with less hops.
