Overall a decent beer that reminds me more of an Amber than a Wheat. I had a growler filled at the Gettysburg location when I opened it later that night it seemed a little flat and felt thin on my palate but the flavors were interesting and it was still enjoyable. Draft at Collegeville. Ruddy muddy brown with off-khaki head. Nose was malty, brown sugar, clove, banana. Tasted rich, complex, with the banana, nut, clove, citrus, and hops of weiss matched by a brown sugary malt and nuts of a dunkle. Appears like cloudy iced tea with a thin light-tan film. looks flat. Smells of clove, light spice and citrus, slightly tart and funky even. Flavor is clove with spice bread, minus the breadiness from the malt. subtle banana, astringent grain flavor and light bodied, reminiscent of lemonade. Also a moderate blend of bitterness and roast that stimulates the back ans sides of the palate. The beer seems like a fresh homebrew, full of flaws and some interesting character, not to mention it’s undercarbonated. Needs improvement. On tap @ Camp Hill. Pours a cloudy, dark brown color with a large, tan head. Great aroma, bready, cloves, bananas. Medium body, very malty but not too sweet. Slick banana finish. A good attempt at the style.
