3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The yeast attenuation appeared great. Hints of citrus and banana esters dominate this beer. Although I am not particularaly fond of Hefes, I feel as those that are will want to try this one.
Draft at Camp Hill location. Pours a cloudy/hazy gold color with a white head that settles to a film. Aroma of banana, malt and some spice. Medium body, good mouthfeel, taste of nice malt and yeast. Finish is a little sweet. Not a bad hefe!

WIfe ordered this draft at ABC’s Gettysburg Gateway brewpub, served weizen glass with orange slice. Hazy orangy-yellow color with white head. Aroma of wheat malt sweetness, banana, clove and faint spices. Taste adds a light note of lemon citrus, bread and yeast. Light body, moderate carbonation, soft, creamy with crisp finish. Alright hefe, on the sweet side and little bland. bubbleflubber (2231) - Swannanoa, North Carolina, USA - JUL 21, 2014
On draft at the brewery, this pours a hazy straw into the glass with a nice thick soapy head that diminishes to soap lacing. Big banana notes upfront (unripened and ripened) and esters finish with a nice clove accent. The mouthfeel has great carbonation and is perfect for a hot summer day! Nice German hefe here. obxdude10 (2358) - Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 26, 2014
I haven’t had a brand new, really outstanding German-style hefeweizen in a while. Along comes the ABC Hinterland. This hefe is absolutely outstanding! The beer pours a cloudy dark straw color with a light white head. There wasn’t a whole lot of lacing inside the glass, though. I found a lot of banana and spices in the nose. The flavors are delicious, with notes of banana, clove, floral hops, light yeast, caramel, light malt and a touch of mint. boxofrane (2553) - Spring City, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 26, 2014
Draft at the Collegeville brewpub. Pours slightly hazy yellow with a small white head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is standard banana and clove. The taste is heavy on the banana and has a solid mouth feel. Decent.

Tap at Appalachian Collegeville, 29/11/13.
Hazed orange yellow with a thin off white head.
Nose is banoffee pie, yeast, wheaten loaf, lemon rind, banana, light spice.
Taste comprises lemon rind, light sugar, clove, toffee, banana.
Medium bodied, dine carbonation, subtle spicing in a crisp finale.
Ok Hefe - ticks the boxes for the style. merc7186 (3142) - North Tonawanda, New York, USA - OCT 26, 2013
A: Hazy Golden Straw Hue, Passes Some Light, White Head Ring, Some Lacing

Overall, undercarbonated but the taste was very bright and balanced. Travlr (25528) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 15, 2013
Draft at abc. Cloudy yellow color, white edge head. Aroma of banana bubblegum, light clove. Taste is banana and citrus bubblegum. strongpieman (1651) - Mount Airy, Maryland, USA - JUN 2, 2012
Draft. Sour aroma ... Not right for a hefe. Yellow color taste is a little off. Not app best work.

Pours hazy/cloudy yellow with thin, fluffy, dissipating head. Smells of mild to moderate caramelized banana, brown sugar, lemon, a subtle bit of evergreen and grain. Flavor is of clove, grain, slight banana, bit of lemon, mild piny bitterness. Texture is also grainy. Fails to really distinguish itself within the style. Not bad, but totally not interesting.
