COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This India Pale Ale is an exciting beer with a floral in aroma and an incredible hop flavor. The maltiness is increased (over a regular pale ale) to help balance the aggressive hop usage. This contributes to the higher alcohol content as well.

6 oz sampler on tap at their Camp Hill brew pub. slightly hazy orange beer /light bronze, with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel, but also light notes of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel as well as a nice presence of grapefruit and light touches of grass. Mild hops. The grapefruit and grass lingers for a long time in the aftertaste.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is murky dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain, ), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers, apricot), with notes of plastic, diacetyl, spoiling fruit juice. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter, unclean. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Well, thats 3 strikes for ABC...I didnt rate the Jolly Scot, but that, this, and the Mountain Lager have all been very dirty and poorly made drain pours. Oh well.

Im not as crazy about this IPA as I am about the Outta Focus. Its hoppier than I tend to like and its kind of bitter on the aftertaste, but its not awful.

DATE TASTED: November 15, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: Barley Creek pint.. OCCASION: recovering from the family football game--I threw three INTs!--and a much less enjoyable Browns loss... APPEARANCE: rather light. bronze/copper body that shows reasonable effervescence; nearly clear; slight, fuzzy off-white head that holds to a swampy halo ... AROMA: resinous first impression; pear, wheat grass, some citrus, and melon; very little malts to speak of.... PALATE: fizzy, light and lively at the teeth; short at the finish, with a muted, astringent mouthfeel; medium-bodied and drinkable... TASTE: the resin is clear, mingling with citrus like grapefruit and orange peel...the maltiness presents itself more in the taste than in the nostril or palate; a reasonable sourness ensues... OVERALL: aptly named, ably fulfilling its hoppy promise, with a serviceable 6.2 ABV and a pleasant if not unmemorable profile...

Bottle. Honey color with off-white head and some lacing. Earthy, resiny citrus hop aroma. Caramel and pine and orange-citrus hops upfront. Earthy and piny, mouthcoating finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not the best, not the worst. Very standard and worth going to if you want a basic ipa. Tap

Pours out a copper color with a small white head. Aroma is of some caramel malts, light grassy and citrus hops not much going on. Taste is rather mundane, caramel, toast, light grass, rotted citrus fruits, . Meh.
