Probably not fair to call this a marzen or a fest, but I did enjoy it. Beautiful clear dark copper pour with a large frothy off white head that leaves great lacing. Nose is sweet malts and a surprising amount of spice ... not marzen but appealing. Mouthfeel is good and full, better, again, than a marzen. Taste is sweet malts and caramel, a little spice, more bitterness than appropriate, but I liked it, and a bitter and nutty finish. I’m probably the high rater on this one, and probably because I’m ignoring the poor match between the beer and its stated type. desurfer (1302) - Melbourne, Florida, USA - OCT 16, 2005
Really thin-bodied, bland with some mild sweetness. Not much going on here. roder60 (1289) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 3, 2009
Had on tap at the Gettysburg location. Pours a clear dark brown amber color with minimal offwhite bubbly head. Aroma is sweet caramel and slight dark fruits. Flavor is very sweet and malty with some fruit presence and slightly dry bitter finish, but not much. Overall, decent but not great. Barrios (1243) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 14, 2009
12oz bottle. Pours a fading, lacing light tan head with a murky amber brown body. Smells of apples, caramel, honey, toffee. Tastes like a caramel apple. A little bready on the finish. BiddleBrau (1221) - Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 17, 2009
Red with thin white head. Stuffy nose prevents quality analysis of aroma. Caramel sweetness, decent hoppiness.

Amber pour with a thin off-white head. Malty grain aroma. Flavor is pure sweet malt with little discernible hops. Not a bad marzen. Ty5592 (1018) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 7, 2006
Draft. Brown color with spicy cinnamon, nutmeg, and peper taste. Body was smooth with earthy, watery finish. Had potential but so do alot of their beers. PapaSkeetSkeet (1010) - Providence, Rhode Island, USA - AUG 6, 2011
Full amber with white head. Aroma is neutral lager. Medium bodied, lighter carbonation. Flavor is fairly sweet and pleasant for an octoberfest, clean and appetizing. Yum. nike (966) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 2, 2011
Poured a reddish color that had very little head. Sweet caramel taste, not much balance, no lacing on the glass. On style for a marzen, little hop taste to it. The beer was smooth, drinkable. Nothing great about this beer, but not all bad. Not one to go out of your way for, but drinkable. Thanks D! axilla (962) - New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 4, 2004
Orange colored brew with bright white head. Kinda weak aroma... a little sweet. Doesn't taste too bad. Some toasted malt taste and maybe a hop but that's it. Alright O-fest.
