Nice toasted malt aroma, clear amber orange color. Had a nice toasted malt flavor at first but it lingers on too long. The body was a little thin for a fest beer. Bottle from Frugal McDugal in Nashville, TN. Pours deep amber with a light beige head. Aroma of sweet malts, bread, and roasted malts. Medium bodied and slightly thin texture wise. Flavor of caramel, toasted grains, berries, and some slight brown sugar. Bitterness is a bit muted on this one, but there is enough to keep it from getting off balance. 6 oz sampler on tap at their Camp Hill brew pub.
Poured a hazy brown with a tan head that settles and left light lace. Aromas of honey, caramel and some fruits. The flavor had roasted malts, chocolate, honey and a hint of spice.
A regular "chicory explosion here!
Medium body and a roast malt aftertaste.
Rather smooth and light which belies it’s appearence.

On tap at Appalachian. Pours a clear ruby brown with a thin to medium sized beiged tan head. Nutty and toast, big grainy toast on the nose. Soft coffee, chocolate, cocoa, toast and malt with a bit of caramel. Gentle bitterness, long toast, crisp grain and bitter toast. On tap, Camp Hill location. Pours a clear dark copper, kinda unusually dark really. Small fizzy off-white head that retained as a thin film. The nose is all husky and toasted malt, with a grainy quality to it. Flavor is sweet malt up front with that slight huskiness. Light biterness and a touch of alcohol apparency on the finish. I don’t really get a whole lot of munich malt. Medium bodied with moderate fizzy carbonation. Overall, not something that stands out among the O-fest crowd.
