On tap, Camp Hill location. Pours a clear dark copper, kinda unusually dark really. Small fizzy off-white head that retained as a thin film. The nose is all husky and toasted malt, with a grainy quality to it. Flavor is sweet malt up front with that slight huskiness. Light biterness and a touch of alcohol apparency on the finish. I don’t really get a whole lot of munich malt. Medium bodied with moderate fizzy carbonation. Overall, not something that stands out among the O-fest crowd. cbkschubert (2901) - BFE, Arizona, USA - FEB 4, 2008
12 oz. bottle via trade with jasonmech77 - Pours a deep copper color with a one finger thick light tan head. Very light spotty lacing. Aroma is sweet toasted malt and spice. Flavor is toasted malt and light spice. Light to medium body. A decent beer. Thanks Jason. Wiseblood (700) - Clarksville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 18, 2010
Dark reddish brown, fizzy head, no lacing. Sweet caramel, herbal, biscuity, nutmeg aroma. Mild taste, chewy malt dominant, very light citrus hop. Sour finish. Overall, pretty subtle and average. Duffbeer (192) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 25, 2002
It seemed a little different this year, than last. lumpsowers (287) - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA - APR 12, 2009
Dark copper pour, big dense head, with nice lace. Sweet fruit aroma. Thin mouthfeel with low carb, and a phlegmy bready sweetness. Finishes with a raisin fruity after. A Bit of sourness and candy sweetness. Not bad, maybe a tad old.

Had on tap at the Gettysburg location. Pours a clear dark brown amber color with minimal offwhite bubbly head. Aroma is sweet caramel and slight dark fruits. Flavor is very sweet and malty with some fruit presence and slightly dry bitter finish, but not much. Overall, decent but not great. NJJereme (387) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 17, 2010
Pint at ABC in Harrisburg. Pours a surprisingly brown color (looked orange on the menu) with a light, off white-head. Thought it combined the signature flavors of a stout and lager and not so much a marzen. Light-medium bodied. Again, combining the features of a lager and a stout. Not bad. Full amber with white head. Aroma is neutral lager. Medium bodied, lighter carbonation. Flavor is fairly sweet and pleasant for an octoberfest, clean and appetizing. Yum. alobar (3759) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 9, 2011
Dark copper color with an off-white head. Aroma of nuts, toasted malt, and caramel. Flavor has lots of toasted malt, with nuts and a touch of caramel sweetness. Decent lacing. Good beer! Beerathon (1683) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 17, 2012
This is honestly my favorite Oktoberfest beer. I’m not a marzen fan, but this was is good. Great toasty malt feel on the tongue, with a satisfying finish.
