Had on tap at the Gettysburg location. Pours a clear dark brown amber color with minimal offwhite bubbly head. Aroma is sweet caramel and slight dark fruits. Flavor is very sweet and malty with some fruit presence and slightly dry bitter finish, but not much. Overall, decent but not great. NJJereme (387) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 17, 2010
Pint at ABC in Harrisburg. Pours a surprisingly brown color (looked orange on the menu) with a light, off white-head. Thought it combined the signature flavors of a stout and lager and not so much a marzen. Light-medium bodied. Again, combining the features of a lager and a stout. Not bad. Full amber with white head. Aroma is neutral lager. Medium bodied, lighter carbonation. Flavor is fairly sweet and pleasant for an octoberfest, clean and appetizing. Yum. alobar (3918) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 9, 2011
Dark copper color with an off-white head. Aroma of nuts, toasted malt, and caramel. Flavor has lots of toasted malt, with nuts and a touch of caramel sweetness. Decent lacing. Good beer! Beerathon (1681) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 17, 2012
This is honestly my favorite Oktoberfest beer. I’m not a marzen fan, but this was is good. Great toasty malt feel on the tongue, with a satisfying finish.

Nice deep copper color - light aroma. Mild smooth malty flavor with little bitterness. Reminded me of Killians. Above average, but not great. paulmetzger (154) - Pocatello, Idaho, USA - SEP 30, 2006
Rich brown-amber with an overabundance of head. Malty aroma without much in the way of hops. Starts sweet and metalic, then adds a coffe like malt flavor at the end. tsarman (794) - Northern, New Jersey, USA - NOV 5, 2007
Dark color for a oktoberfest. Brown with yellowish foam. Smoky flavor. Tasted some bitterness. Maybe its been a while, but this does not feel like an oktoberfest. A decent beer, but not really of the style I was expecting. More like a old fashioned ale. Drake (14078) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 17, 2012
12 ounce bottle from State Line. Pours a clear copper color with a thin frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toasted caramel malts and very faint hops. The taste is toasted malts, earthy notes and a mild hoppy finish. Medium bodied. radio_nowhere (1474) - Maryland, USA - AUG 2, 2014
I know it’s far from fall but I couldn’t help grab this. Bomber into snifter glass, clear deep rusty-amber with light tan head. Aroma of toast, brown sugar and faint earthy hops. Taste adds roast malt sweetness, caramel, nuttiness, light cocoa and fruity hop bitterness. Light-medium body, low-moderate carbonation, soft with roasty sweet finish. Pretty straight forward marzen.
