COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Oktoberfest style Marzen is a favorite at the famous Bavarian fall beer festivals. The distinct toasted malt flavor of this amber lager finishes quite crisp due to the extensive lagering of this beer. One sip and you’ll swear you’re in Munich.

Bottle. Poured a clear amber color with a two finger off white head. Aroma of malt. Flavor was pretty much all malt. Decent beer, but I’ve had better within the style.

Amber pour with a thin off-white head. Malty grain aroma. Flavor is pure sweet malt with little discernible hops. Not a bad marzen.

Butters (4176) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - MAR 10, 2009
Tasted at woody’s. Pours a dark amber with reddish highlights. Nice and malty nose and body. A little on the sweet side. Caramel flavors pervade. Decent for style I suppose.

strongpieman (1651) - Mount Airy, Maryland, USA - OCT 27, 2012
Draft. Deep copper, thin head, malty backbone, medium carbonation. Nothing offensive, nut overall an avg marzen.

This is an average beer and has a nice finish...............................

2.8
DiarmaidBHK (5921) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 7, 2011
Pours brown from tap with a head that vanishes as soon as it hits the glass. Nice maltiness on the nose. Taste is a bit bland. Not a lot of flavor on the tongue. Carbonation is medium. Clean finisher. Starts strong but ends in a whimper.

2.7
egajdzis (6730) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 20, 2004
Poured a reddish copper color with little to no off white head and no lacing on the glass. Sweet caramel, herbal, light smoke, spicy, nutmeg aroma. Mild taste, chewy malt dominant, very light citrus hop. Taste was watery, and the flavor did not hold up.

2.7
richlikebeer (839) - Easton, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 9, 2005
a pretty amber color with a creamy tan head on the pour, and a hoppy aroma that was more or less on its own. the taste was similar, a ton of hops and not nearly enough malts and if there were any spices, i didnt taste them. a bitter and oily aftertaste ended what was nothing close to what i expect from an octoberfest lager.
