This is a damn fantastic IIPA!! I am very impressed with this; absolutely awesome!! The beer pours a clear and brilliant dark golden color with a substantial tan head. The head leaves some nice sticky and cascading lace around the glass. The nose is well-balanced with a ton of spicy and citrusy hops. I also got a little earth and fresh-baked bread in the aroma. The body is incredibly smooth and drinkable. The flavors are also extremely well-balanced, with a ton of spicy and dry hop flavor. I got some notes of grapefruit, orange peel, coriander, lemon, lime, earth, light rye bread and a hint of alcohol. The finish is semi-dry with more dry and spicy hop flavor. This is a really incredible IIPA! I’ll be hitting up either the restaurant in Collegeville or the Wegmans bottle shop for more! Whoviant (1) - Sewell, Alabama, USA - JAN 29, 2013 does not count
Not last season’s double IPA. Understated aroma and hop taste MASKS high alcohol content. Much easier drinking than previous incarnations. Still satisfying caramel and clove taste with little astringency. On draught. MattShizzle (618) - Bernville, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 15, 2015
Bottle - from sampler pack. Deep copper color - slight chill haze. Aroma both hoppy and malty. Really good. Can tell it’s strong and it’s VERY hoppy. desurfer (1302) - Melbourne, Florida, USA - OCT 30, 2010
Draft in Gettysburg. Super hoppy with a ton of bitter, herbal character. Alcohol not too noticeable but packs a punch afterwards. Great IIPA. ck1698 (1) - baltimore, USA - JUN 6, 2013 does not count
