Sampled at the ABC 11th Capital City Brew fest. Poured copper in color with a thin white head. Aroma is pretty subdued notes of lightly smoked malts, and bbq. Tastes of smoke, little bit of wood, with a nice malty base. Nicely carbonated, nice body. Very easy to drink. One of the highlights for me at the fest. f351c4v (411) - Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 14, 2008
On draught at the Camp Hill ABC. Rauchbier is one of my favorite styles, so I was pleased to see this beer on the list. Pours an amber color, with a small white head. Aroma is definitely smoked, but not overpowering, malty. Body is about right for this style, not thick, easy drinking. Some wood chips, smoked meats here, a nice malt character, just not in the leauge of Schlenkerla though. Could be more over-the-top on the smokienss, for me... jehoey (765) - Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 3, 2008
