Dark mahogony brown.
Nose is caramel, brown sugars, dark malt notes, pinch of cocoa powder.
Taste comprises cake mix, brown sugar, dark toffee fudge.
Medium body, fine carbonation, dry finale with a sweet note or two.
So - so, drinkable and representative of a dull style in my opinion - others are of course are available !
A deep reddish copper ale with a thick moka head. In aroma, again, that meaty herbal aroma, with light roasted malts. In mouth, a nutty malt with herbal hops, lingering, light bitterness, overall, not bad. On tap at PA Flavor, April 9th, 2011.
