Tap. Pours clear brown with a medium, creamy off-white head, medium retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is banana, wheat, earthy and spicy hops with dates, plums, ans figs. Flavor is malt dominant with banana and clove esters with light hops and bitterness with a sweet finish. Medium body and carbonation. obguthr (6827) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - FEB 3, 2012
Moderately strong aroma of fig, almond, stewed apples, and clove, with an undercurrent of chocolate, really nice and dunkelweizenish. Mild babyfood quality. Clear tea colored, no head. The flavor is more of a stewed apple and clove variety, much less dynamic than the aroma. Medium body, can be tart. Alcohol well concealed. Somewhere between dunkelweizen and weizen bock, it’s a good offering for fans of both styles. DiarmaidBHK (6143) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 19, 2011
I’m surprised at the low scores. Pours from bottle dark brown with a light brown head. Big estery notes on the nose. Nice banana notes on the tongue mixed with a slight caramel. Finishes fairly dry. Very nice! phaleslu (10895) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 23, 2011
22 oz. bottle from michael-pollack- thanks again, Pollack! Pours a cloudy, dull, orange-gold-amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma of banana, nuts, raisins, sweet bready malts, caramel, and clove. The flavor follows the same lines- sweet, fruity, and malty- with a little brown sugar and cola. Medium-bodied, with medium carbonation and a sweet, malty, fruity mouthfeel. Very solid weizen bock, even better than I’d expected. FROTHINGSLOSH (8291) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 13, 2011
Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange-brown color with a large creamy beige head that lingered and produced good lacing. The aroma was sourdough bread, brown sugar, lemon, clove, cherry and a hint of nutmeg. The flavor was tangy and citric with notes of clove, brown sugar, cherry, sourdough bread, nut and faint hints of anise and nutmeg. The finish was long with sourdough, brown sugar and cherry lingering. Fairly full bodied. Excellent.

burnt orangepour, with aroma and flavor notes of wheat, banana, clove, and sugary malt. Fairly complex, with a fruity, wheaty, smooth finish. CptAmerica (29) - USA - MAR 3, 2011
Dark brown with a white head when poured. The head doesn’t last long when poured. A very unique flavor. Has a flavor of hops with a slight citrus flavor. CaptainCougar (7634) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - JAN 31, 2011
Bottle: Pours a transparent deep dark mahogany with a spotty-lacing off-white head. Has a sweet toasted wheat and dark fruity nose with a touch of bready yeast. Starts with pretty good fullness and lightly sweet biscuity dark wheat and caramel maltiness with some light fruity notes before a slightly drier and thinner finish. Pretty true to style, but could use a little more body and complexity. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 21, 2011
