COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Volks Weizenbock combines the strong malty component of a bock bier with the tangy, spiciness of the Hefe Weizen. This beer is brewed 1 1/2 times stronger than our Hefe Weizen and is aged commensurately longer for extra smoothness! Volks Weizenbock is "The Peoples Beer"!

stegosaurus (1882) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 17, 2007
On draft at Capones. Pours a translucent copper with a decent size off-white head. Aroma of caramel malts. The flavor is slightly sweet, caramel, not anything like a weizen bock should be for me. thin body, and weak.

whaleman (2178) - North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 8, 2007
Amber body with a thick, frothy off-white head. Aroma of bubble gum, light caramel, and cake. Lots of yeasty esters, some doughiness, plus honey, vanilla, and latex tones. Not bad after it sits a little.

dberger624 (1028) - Voorhees, New Jersey, USA - FEB 25, 2007
Draft at the Grey Lodge In Philly. Ok beer. A little too much malt for me. Besides that nothing really wrong.

hopdog (12584) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 21, 2007
On tap. Poured a medium to deeper and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of bananas, light bubble gum, cloves and a trace of wheat. Tastes of bananas, cloves, cramel, and wheat.

TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - FEB 21, 2007
Pours a darker amber with a smaller off white bubbly head that left slight lacing. Aroma of clove, banana, caramel and molasses. Flavors of the same with a nice body and light alcohol presence.

illinismitty (2271) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 9, 2007
Draft at Camp Hill. Pours a deep cherry brown with an off white head and nice lacing. Aroma is loaded with banana esters. I mean you can smell it across the room. Texture may be a bit thin for the style. Flavor is not overly complex, but still tasty. Flavors of sweet dark wheat malts, banana, bubblegum with a nice touch of bitterness on the finish. Not bad, one of the better beers of the night.

JB175 (1665) - Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 2, 2007
UPDATED: FEB 14, 2007 Deep brown & Cloudy color with medium head. Wheat, sugar & banana aromas. Taste is very sweet with a dark wheat & sugar taste mixed with banana and some other fruits. Nice, refreshing beer that was nowhere near Victory’s W-Bock, but still very drinkable.

DocLock (10702) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 15, 2006
Deep coppery turbid pour, with aroma and flavor notes of wheat, banana, clove, and brown sugary malt. Fairly complex, with a fruity, wheaty, smooth finish.

OldRaspy (292) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - FEB 9, 2006
On tap at brewpub in gettysburg was a brown unfiltered color. Had a malty aroma with spices (clove?). Flavor was malty with a clove taste.

The beers at ABC continue to pick up as they get darker. This was a nice weizenbock that I enjoyed as much as any beer I’ve had here thus far. Wheaty and sweet, this went down smooth and I would drink it again.
