COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Volks Weizenbock combines the strong malty component of a bock bier with the tangy, spiciness of the Hefe Weizen. This beer is brewed 1 1/2 times stronger than our Hefe Weizen and is aged commensurately longer for extra smoothness! Volks Weizenbock is "The Peoples Beer"!

Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange-brown color with a large creamy beige head that lingered and produced good lacing. The aroma was sourdough bread, brown sugar, lemon, clove, cherry and a hint of nutmeg. The flavor was tangy and citric with notes of clove, brown sugar, cherry, sourdough bread, nut and faint hints of anise and nutmeg. The finish was long with sourdough, brown sugar and cherry lingering. Fairly full bodied. Excellent.

It pours into the glass a dark amber ruby color. There is no head when it came to the table just a thin beige covering. No lace is present. The aroma is of strong malt some yeast, spicy and some fruit. The taste reminds me of a bock. It is tangy, fruity, spicy and malty. There are some hints of yeast that hit the back and sort of linger for a second. This is a strong beer but very smooth. I could drink this beer all year long, and wish that it were available.

A solid Weizen Bock. Belgie-files visiting Harrisburg should make it a point to try this beer. Had banana overtones very similar to the Abbey Roade but a much moretraditional beer taste. Quite good.

22 oz bomber. Pours a deep rusty orange brown with a medium sized cream colored head. Aroma of cloves, banana and honey nut bread. Taste of cloves, banana, honey and nuts. Good beer.

I’m surprised at the low scores. Pours from bottle dark brown with a light brown head. Big estery notes on the nose. Nice banana notes on the tongue mixed with a slight caramel. Finishes fairly dry. Very nice!
