This wheat is certainly lacking flavor. For an unfiltered beer it was very clear and lacked any haze. This is definitely a summer time brew for many people I am sure, but it would not be for me.

Its a cheap malt taste that borders on a cheap mass produced beer. Overall not great.

On tap at Appalachia Brewing. Pours out a hazy straw color topped with a white head. Nose is grain wheat a light corn note and some spice. Taste is more of the grain corn wheat malts and a touch of banana.

This is a fantastic beer that has a grassy aroma, you could almost picture the fields. It was slightly cloudy with a golden color and a whitish head. I felt it was a medium body with a great taste. This was a great beer to drink on a warm day.

A very light wheat which could have used a lot more malts. This beer is pretty lacking in flavor and mostly yeast and pale malts, corn.

Bottle: Hazy, gold, with a small white head. Wheat malt, lemon/orange aroma. Taste is slightly tart....citrus, a little banana, wheat malt. A little watery and light, but a very decent amount of flavour.

This is a solid hefeweizen. It didnt blow me away, but it was enjoyable and Id try it again, perhaps with the right food pairing. Its light in color and body and solid in taste.

DATE TASTED: November 19, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: Weihenstephan weizen... OCCASION: vibrant golden orange body that is mostly opaque; white, creamy head that thins to a halo... AROMA:damp, wet yeasts that muddle slight banana and clove--the telltale aromas are flat and without vibrancy, but a malitiness sits as a shadow... . PALATE: light to medium-bodied, with a matted, lightened, textured mouthfeel; still reasonably easy drinking... TASTE: the maltiness blankets the flavor profile; the wheat produces a clove and banana that is subdued; overall, a clean, uneventful taste... OVERALL: a beer on my get list for years, it does not really elicit a memorable reaction; a somewhat refreshing beer that, due to its maltiness, is not as light or as flavorful as hoped for...

Poured from the tap at the Appalachian Brewing Company into a pint glass in Gettysburg, PA. The beer pours a brilliant gold color with minimal haziness. The aroma is OK, it is mostly corn and grain with some yeast. The flavor is the biggest disappointment to me, the flavor was not very strong and had very little grain infusion. Overall, i rate this beer as average.
