330ml bottle, thanks jinroh. Pours hazy orange, small white head. Aroma is piney, resinous, sweet, tropical. Taste is juicy, mango, watermelon. Kinda watery, and light. Dry finish. Light bodied, average carbo. First impression good, but taste and finish is kinda lame.

Draught at Keyaki. Promising fruity and estery nose, kind of fades on the palate though, interesting oily mouthfeel with light notes of sake but lacks flavors really and feels quite heavy, worse as it warms. Interesting experiment but not quite there yet.

This should be called Aqula Akita Ginjo (named for the sake). On tap at Watering Hole. Hazy gold with almost no head. Belgian saison yeast like nose with some koji and sake notes. Soft carbonation with a sweet but funky nuance to it...like fermented rice. Clean and easy to drink. Wish there was a bit more carbonation though, still a nice original effort from Aqula.

KyotoLefty (10197) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAY 25, 2015
Tap at Yokohama Beer Fest. Rich nose of rice, esters, fruit. Sake in the flavor, peaches, orange. rich and a bit sweet but finished crisp. nice.

Keyaki. Aroma is rice, bit of booze. Taste has sweetness, wheaty, nice. Maybe the sake is a bit disconcerting for me as I’ve had some bad sake hangovers.

hazy golden, dry fruity, lychee nose with melon. A bit of Popcorn. Light bitter finish. Mouth is not as great, as the nose.
