Tap at Zojoji Temple in Tokyo. Wheay malts and fruity tastes. Lightly floral. Quite refreshing. Crisp finish. Drinkable. willisread (3651) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 17, 2016
Tap at CBM Jimbocho back in 2014. Light peach and apricot aromas with some wheat and grassy notes. Good carbonation with a medium body. Crisp finish with some fruitiness. Nice. maekchu (4054) - Hirakata, JAPAN - SEP 18, 2015
Bottle from local Speed store. Nose of light malt, grapes, bubble gum, all quite dusty. Thin dull straw color, almost no head. Gentle fruity initial, light floral hopping, peaches, grapes, and some grass. Very thin, watery body. Underdone in all aspects. Drinkable, but quite a disappointment, given all the higher ratings below. I’m assuming this is much better on tap. Westkyoto77 (640) - Kyoto, JAPAN - FEB 1, 2014
Bottle into a plastic cup. Punchy fruity hoppy nose, lively carbonation. Grapefruit, cardboard and grains. Nothing too spectacular, but quaffable nonetheless. biirusaikou (2705) - - JUL 20, 2013
Light bubblegum aroma. Sweet, fruity malt taste, some caramel, tart. Goes down nicely, without being spectacular.

Bottle at home from the brewery webshop. Very clear blond colour, white bubbly head. Aroma lots of wheat and grain, grassy lemon hops, slight floury mustiness. Taste is hoppy, nice grain, something floral too. Nice bitterness. Slight fruity sweetness too, peach nectar like maybe. Very nice, very easy drinking. Nice and crisp.KyotoLefty (10692) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 25, 2009

Bottle at home. Quite clear light amber/golden colour, small bubbly off-white head that fades quite quickly. Aroma touch of caramel, lightly fruity, lots of maltiness, slightly floral and a touch of spice. Taste is nice and crisp, bit of hoppy bitterness, slightly citrus at the end. Lots of sweet malt, caramel. Very drinkable.
Draught at the brewpub. This may be a different beer than what earlier raters have tried. It is now basically a replacement for their Helles.
Slightly dark golden color with a thin, fine head. Nice biscuit malt aroma, low hops, very rich malt. Sweet, malty flavor. Low hops yet retrained sweetness. A good authentic helles. Proper palate with a nice dry finish and just enough hops. motelpogo (8031) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - DEC 27, 2008
on tap at the aqula brauhaus in akita. faintly hazy yellow with a pikelet head and a fresh and grassy aroma with hints of pine. quite dry and quick - firm texture with some faint vanilla and modest bitterness. subtle and well-made IslandHaole (1299) - Misawa, JAPAN - JAN 8, 2006
A bottle conditioned lager containing hop polyphenols. A medium/dark golden color with a off-white head. Clear till you add in the goodness of the dregs. Has a sharp hop scent that reminds me of Bitberger with rounder, fuller malt like a Bohemian Pils. Has a soft yet full malt flavor, very similar to a Bohemian or Czech pils. Mild grainy sweetness in the follow and a short-lived, soft bitter aftertaste. Another reason I will miss northern Japan!
