Tap at the Watering Hole. Amber brown. Small off-white head. Aroma is ultra skunky, cat pee, citrus hop. Also a bit roasty bit spicy. Taste is nice, less hoppiness, bit chocolate, some sweetness, bit of citrus at the finish. Nice! KyotoLefty (10311) - Kyoto, JAPAN - APR 21, 2013
Draught at Q-Brick. Dark brown with orange, lace head. Great nose of citrus, grass, chocolate, caramel, rye bread. Flavors of licorice, grass, citrus, chocolate fudge. Light but tasty, earthy, dirty. Approaching a black IPA. Well done. maekchu (3947) - Hirakata, JAPAN - APR 20, 2013
Draught at Qbrick. Good stinky and piney hop aroma with some yeast. Near black, with a clumpy filmy head. Good twisting sort of balance right off the bat. Citra and dark malts weaving in and out of the mix. Dirty, bitter mid palate. Rough and rasty choco finish. Medium body. Very nicely done. Malty and tasty. On tap at Qbrick, one of the nicest beers I had on tap tonight and probably the best Aqula beer I’ve had. It poured a beautiful ruby brown with a light beige head. The aroma was a nice mild citra aroma & the flavor was a nice bready malt with hints of biscuit. It was perfectly balanced with a nice clean crisp bitter finish. Thanks for the recommendation KyotoLefty! This beer makes a great sessionable ale. Wombata (625) - Kobe, JAPAN - APR 20, 2013

Tap at Ant n Bee, Tokyo. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Heavy lacing. Aroma of citrus, coffee, vanilla, a little bit of dried fruit. Sweet flavour of chocolate, cacao, citrus. jonno (2796) - JAPAN - OCT 8, 2011
Do they like Citra? Pretty whiffy nose -a bit of citrus and pine. Quite a tangy body. Wouldn’t picked this as a brown ale, more a regular pale. Certainly nothing to write home with descriptors about.
