UPDATED: NOV 3, 2016 Can (50 cl) from Systembolaget. Clear deep golden, medium white head. Bready and fruity aroma, alcohol well hidden. Good mouthfeel, quite sweet but with a dry finish. larsga (7676) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 8, 2007
Medium coarse offwhite head quickly disappears. Copper body. Syrupy caramelly aroma with hoppy notes, quite clean and simple. Some dried fruit. Intense sweet fruity caramel malt taste with alcoholic bread notes. A bit cloying. Considerable alcohol heat. Hot and dry bready metallic aftertaste. Not bad. 50 cl. can. Pours a copper colour with a bubbly head. Quite sweet grainy alcohol aroma. Sticky mouthfeel. The flavour is very sweet, almost burning, with plenty of alcohol appearing and some wood too. Sweet burning alcohol finish. rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 8, 2007
Clear charneol colour wih average-sized head. Sugary almonds, like glue, in aroma, along with mackerel. Thick, syrupy mouthfeel, with huge suagry sweetness that prevents other eventual flavours to step forward. Menacing alcohol burn, without being fiery. Pretty bad beer. UPDATED: APR 4, 2007 Can. Clear, deep golden color, thin rapidly disappearing head. Very sweet, moderate malty aroma. Taste is overpowered alcohol, sticky sweetness, with a fair amount of bitterness. Notes of metal and medicine. Chewy mouthfeel. Nasty alcohol heat in the finish. A weird one...

(50 cl can from Systembolaget) Clear copper to light brown color, big white head. Not much scent, a bit sweet and some wood, some alcohol when sniffed deep. Thick mouthfeel. Dominating alcohol taste and aftertaste, nothing enjoyable about it. Not much bitterness. Mikegothenburg (13) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAR 17, 2007
Hard to drink, terribly tasting, but very strong. Could have been worse. This one brand isnt a perticularly enjoyable beer. Its brewed for the reason of getting loaded, and it also strikes pretty strange, almost a tequila level burst that hits you. This is based on an ancient brew from Sweden, a solder beer. Back then made for the brave troops that kept the russians out of europe or other enemies at chess mate.
Arboga, the town, is an old place where the army one to many times passed trough. And the beer is named by that smaller city and the old and modern term "it will come afterwards like arboga beer" means also that it will strike you afterwards quite sharp. This is certanly nothing to enjoy drinking, only a choice to make if you wanna get loaded like hell.

Clear golden with a small dissipating white head. Grainy sweet malt aroma, suprisingly devoid of alcohol. The flavour shows the true abv of this one though... sweet, almost vodka like alcohol, thankfully not too winey. There is also a little caramel in there. The finish is quite awful, like a cheap nasty gin. Interesting and nowhere near as awful as it could have been. dornoy (701) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 5, 2006
Thin hite head on te golden body. Not bad, strong but no obvious alcohol taste, has hints of fruits, malty staste. bit sweet. Not my regular choice, but worth the experience. Well balanced. gunnfryd (15490) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 2, 2006
