UPDATED: FEB 25, 2017 Birra di colore marrone scuro. Schiuma color caffelatte molto persistente. All olfatto note di caff tostato e moka.

Bottle at home, 9th October 16. Pours thick and black. Aroma is quality coffee, raw bean, cocoa. Taste is coffee bean, bitter and sweet, not overlly, its coffee forward, but there are other flavours going on, leather, dark chocolate. The balance is perfect, and the palate is exact for the style and taste. Very good imperial coffee stout.

Fantastica. Sentori intensi di caff e luppolo resinoso per una birra che sta a met strada tra una black IPA, per profumo, non per amaro, e una imperial stout. Scaldandosi risalta molto il dolce del malto e forse questa lunica pecca di una birra strepitosa.

330 ml bottle, bb 05.07.2017.
Black body, with a big, dense, creamy, lacing, coffee-colored head.
Aroma of coffee beans, espresso, liquorice, cocoa powder, some dark chocolate, subtle dark fruits.
Taste follows this pretty much.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes roasty-bitter, dry, wooden, with coffee beans, liquorice, some dark chocolate.

Tasty. Straight, but really well balanced, with lovely coffee notes. Drinks pretty smooth, alcohol is well balanced. Great style example, while not among my favourite ones.

0,33l bottle at home shared by 4 from trade with rich182, big thanks. BB 05.07.2017. black color, small coffee colored head. smells bitter herbal, ashy, earthy, spices, bitter chocolate, coffee, milk chocolate. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of ash, spices, bitter chocolate, peppery, light vanilla, licorice. finishes rather roasty and lightly bitter with notes of herbs, ash and coffee. good stuff, a bit too peppery, maybe not fresh enough for the hops. overall nice though.

Bottle fom Rehills of Jesmond, Newcastle. Pours black with a nice frothy beige head. Fairly mild coffee aroma with a little pine also. The taste starts fairly hoppy with quite a bit of pine and light spice bfore the coffee comes through incresingly strongly in the finish. Moderate carbonation giving a full mouth feel. Delicious.
