Draught (backlog). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is sweet malts, grass, spices, some syrupy sweetness. Flavour is syrup, caramel, alcohol, ripe fruits and some mild toffeeish notes. Pailhead (6539) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - OCT 8, 2014
On tap: The aroma consists of moderate bubblegum, light banana, cotton candy, citrus, and Belgian yeast. It’s a cloudy burnt orange with a small white head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. There is a thin soapy sheet of lacing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with banana, light bubblegum, cotton candy, and Belgian yeast. The finish has light citrus, apple, and a hint of spice. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat sticky mouthfeel. Overall, a little too sweet for my preferences. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - OCT 7, 2014
Tap at The Oak. Cloudy amber pour with a small head that fades to a thin ring and leaves great webbing. Aroma is very hard to describe. Definitely some bubble gum and banana but it’s layered underneath this doughy, fruity, citrus concoction. Tastes sugary sweet but not overpowering. Toffee candy, bread dough, banana, rye, honey, cereal, and some other odd flavors I’m having trouble picking out. Medium to full body. Creamy mouthfeel. An odd tasting beer but I enjoyed it mostly. raoulgreco (10) - FRANCE - MAY 20, 2014
Pours clear golden with a large foamy head. Aroma of rye, spices, sweet caramel and malts. Taste is sweet, spicy and malty with notes of rye and caramel. Finish is sweet, caramely and sticky with some fruity notes. malkyore (377) - - MAR 5, 2014
When I saw troubadour on the tap handle I knew at that moment that I had to try this one. Very sweet triple aroma, almost ridiculously sweet... Kind of like bubble gum. The taste is a sort of muddled malt sweet base like a kind of raspberry flavor but sweet beyond what you’d think. Then there’s a lot of hops, this is the hoppiest trippel I’ve had, it’s almost an American pale ale level. The hops linger for a time... It’s a really good beer, I only hope this rating improves it’s decidedly dismal overall score, it honestly deserves better. The world needs more beers like this.

I had this on tap in the Ann Arbor Bar Louie. It has a great clear orange color and a nice white head that disappeared quick. I don’t normally drink trippels so my review might be a bit off, but it’s very good. It’s aroma is very citrusy. It’s got this very interesting taste of citrus, oranges, and that trippel taste. It’s one of those beers that you kind of have to chew through. It’s very good and I’m happy to have drunken in one of the cities it was made in! bartlebier (3982) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - FEB 26, 2014
UPDATED: APR 10, 2014 (backlog ZBF 2013, tap pour). Sewer nose, as in an old macro pils. Stale and overamped "specialty" grains compete for attention in a sticky and ester-fuming tripel. Almond milk and honey shake. Hops drown in this disastrous malt orgy on an oily palate. One of the few at ZBF I wasn’t able to finish. TBone (17519) - Pori, FINLAND - DEC 21, 2013

Orange color, small white head. Herbal, grassy aroma with some fruity notes. Medium-bodied. Fruity, some alcohol, peach, mango and grassy hoppyness. Simple, strong, fruity sweetish tripel.
Golden in color with a white head. Earthy notes, sweetish toffee and some grassyness in aroma. Flavor is quite similar, bit too sweet however. Hermod (7838) - Vantaa, FINLAND - OCT 19, 2013
Hazy golden, lasting white head. Fruity, marzipan, spicy notes. Flavor has sweetness, grain, spices, marzipan. Long finish. Lovely tripel, high drinkability.
