Opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan - cream head. Smooth palate, slightly soft and a little airy. Nice malts, smooth with mild coffee and roast. A little malt cream. Nice pine hops. A little red berry fruits. Finishes smooth with mild fine carbonation. A little Kernel like. High praise!
Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 14/06/2012. Mahogany with a reddish tinge and tight, off-white head. Sweetish aroma of caramel, red fruits and roasted malts, with some grassy hops. Flavour was similarly sweet, with added chocolate, more fruit and a gently bitter finish with a hint of citrus. Very drinkable. tommann (3714) - Dudley, West Midlands, ENGLAND - AUG 4, 2012

Bottle at the Victoria, Birmingham. Some coffee notes, APA mouthfeel and hops build through the finish, which is pretty tangy. Feels slightly heavy and over bitter on finish, but a solid, hoppy, UK interpretation of a style which has itself been rebooted by the America. johndoughty (5403) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAR 28, 2013
Bottle. Brown and slightly hoppy with some maltiness. Quite powerful for its relatively low strength. Unusual and quite pleasant. Beersiveknown (5284) - NORTHERN IRELAND - OCT 24, 2012
