This traditional Hefeweizen is light bodied, gold and cloudy in appearance, with banana and clove in the nose. A clean citrus finish makes this the perfect spring/summer time beer.

Hazy pale gold, lasting white ring. Kinda soapy, creamy lightly lactic nose. Well displayed estery yeast aromatics, full on banana. Far drier than expected in mouth. It is not very phenolic at all, mostly bready with peely lemon zest aspects overruning smallish malt bill. Surprisingly crisp, heavily carbonated, but very thin palate.

Faint aroma with hints of banana and clove. Cloudy yellow, lemonade appearance. No carbonation. No lace, no head. Not bad. Diet cola; 7-up aftertaste.

Medium, hazy, honey golden color. Also, ABC puts this into a proper hefe glass, a nice touch. And, they pour it with a reasonable amount of head. Not very complex, with regard to flavor and palate, until it is allowed to warm a little. Then, some banana and clove esters surface. A couple of these gave me a decent buzz. I’m not sure what the ABV is on this.

Pours a medium cloudy bright yellow, with some soft orange hues. Smallish white head. Smells of hay, lemon, mild coriander. Begins with a big moderately syrupy lemon/sugar flavor with some wheat and hops coming in afterwards. Body is lightly spritzy which adds a spicy texture to complement the style. Finish dries somewhat and loses alot of flavor, with just some mildly sour yeast. Some graininess.

just a really good wheat beer. has it all; but it seemed to have a bit too sour of an aftertaste. with a little tweaking it'd be perfect.

On tap @ Arbor Brewing Co. I trust all the raters before me on this one, but this just didn;t make the grade. Oh, the looks were all cloudy perfect; less yellow and a touch gray. Aroma was medium banana and some pepper. Not much clove or coriander or other complexity in the nose. Damn! I had such high hopes bbut they were dashed mercilessly by a watery, mushed old banana mess, with high pepper content and that's it. Not pleasant after the Huxell. Bummer.

Tap. A nice crisp wheat with many white beer flavors. There were citrus, coriander, and banana flavors.

My all time favorite wheat beer. Tremendous citrus flavour and beuatiful cloudy appearance. Three cheers for ABC!

Yup, tourette, my original rate of this brew last August sold it way short. Of course, I was a wheat beer novice then. Now I find the citrusy PLUS estery blast of this brew huge and wonderful. It can't compare with the ABC alt, but it is top notch fare, to be sure.

Excellent wheat beer. Very much in the German tradition. I was just in Germany last month, and haven't found an American beer that could closely approximate the beer I had their until this. Highly recommended!!
