Bottle. Bit of a weird one this. Amber with a big white head that doesn’t move. Not a massive aroma for an ipa but has citrus, grapefruit, alcohol and a weird tcp note. Taste has grapefruit, alcohol and slight earthyness. Ferociously bitter throughout. Some good and some bad in there omegamike (152) - York, North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 10, 2012
Murky orange with white head. Aromas of pine and forest scented air freshener: very strong indeed. Flavour surprisingly not as painful as anticipated. Massive bitterness, inevitably, but a fairly substantial malt base keeps it in check. Some crystal malt pokes through a predominantly honey sweet body that is accompanied throughout with a singing pine and orange pith bitterness. Quite tasty, but not quite wonderful. Bottle from Great Grog. Pours a dark golden colour with a decent beige head. Aroma of pineapple, passion fruit, caramel and alcohol. Similar flavours with lingering grapefruit. Moderate carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Very bitter and a little sour to finish. This is seriously hoppy! Jacob23_5 (128) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 20, 2012
Bottle. Pours near-opaque, hazy orange-gold, with thin foamy head. Aroma juicy, citrus, gooseberry, bitterness already apparent. Flavours are....hoppy. Very hoppy. Juicey, fruity, quite nutty and hugely long, hugely bitter finish. Actually really quite nice. dantheman278 (1361) - SCOTLAND - MAY 20, 2012
Bottle at home. Poured a dark copper amber, with a thin bubbly white head that fades with some lacing. Big pithy hop nose, touch of orange peel, slightly urinal cakes, herbal grassy notes perhaps. Not as juicy as I like my IPAs, but still inviting. Palate is nicely bready and sweet to start, with a good pineapple juiciness and a rich, long, powerful hop finish that just keeps on giving. Not too soapy either, which is a danger with high-IBU beers. This really appeals to my hophead side, I like it.

From 500ml bottle, pours a cloudy copper brown, big citrus aroma, decent head, good carbonation, massive hoppy flavour ending with a big bitter finish, it says on the bottle over 400 IBU’s bitter. Excellent beer, right up my street. cgarvieuk (25741) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 7, 2012
cask at euston tap ... thin white head ... soft floral orange zezt nose ... soft bitter citrus orange peel.... long soapy bitter linger ... too bitter soapy for me Leighton (22054) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 6, 2012
Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours lightly hazy, dark gold with a small, foamy head. Leaves and big toasted grass nose, some pine. Medium sweet flavor with loads of abrasive hops, light toast, oily grass, sandy dirt. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Mildly sticky, deeply abrasive and raw bitterness to finish, some resinous pine, grass. Yeah, it’s just a bit too rough. downender (8774) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - APR 21, 2012
Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 21/04/2012. Deep amber in colour with a slight, white head. Big, hoppy aroma with some citrus fruit, a touch of pineapple and hint of malt sweetness. Flavour had some more fruit but the stand out thing was the bitter finish, which was massive, probably a touch too unrelenting for me. Enjoyable overall.
