Nice nearly black pour, lingering tan head. Powerful roast coffee aroma. Bitter coffee with quite a bit of carbonation. Some roast malt, but not much. Fairly clean finish, some sourness? Like they tried to combine a Belgian style stout with a cup of espresso. If you like the Belgian stouts, you might like this one. Just ok to me though. mmmbeer (1428) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUL 22, 2008
(Sampled 7-8-08) 12 oz. bottle poured into shaker- poured pitch black, Cadillac size head that went away real slow and heavily laced. Aroma of hard coffee and malt, low carbonation. HIs the mouth with a heavy and thick body- the malt and hard coffee taste is at times very hard to tell apart from one another, finish has a mild bitterness. Not for the faint of heart- flawed but still drinkable. jcr (2744) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - JUL 14, 2008
Bottle. Chalky, uncomfortable body and a carbonation beyond lively drag this beer down. Dark brown pour with a nice tan head. The aroma is espresso and roasted malts with a hint of chocolate. The flavor was lightly to moderately sweet and moderately coffee bitter. Finishes with a bitterness and sourness. The medium body had a gritty texture. Uber-lively carbonation. bu11zeye (13139) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - MAY 26, 2008
(Bottle) Pours a dark brown body with a spare beige head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, and some chocolate. Flavor of lactose sourness, roasted malt, and coffee. BOLTZ7555 (3027) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - MAY 21, 2008
Actually poured this one out!!! It hurt my heart but the beer was that bad. Great name, great bottle, horrible excuse for a beer. Definitely smell the roasted espresso bean but there is an artificial sweetener-like aroma present as well. Flavor of day-old Folgers, Sweet-n-Low, & soured milk. Nasty...Espresso HATE.

UPDATED: MAY 21, 2008 Bottle, thanks to Bu11zeye.
Poured a brown with minimal beige head, no retention. Aroma was the best thing about this beer, very coffee/expresso like, but that doesn’t compensate for a good beer. Flavor was lemon tartness at the beggining fading into a expresso flavor and then bitter.....Has watery mouthfeel, low carbonation. Beaver (1830) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAY 13, 2008
12 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with a creamy light tan head (after a vigorous pour) that quickly diminishes to a thin collar that leaves some lacing.Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - MAY 2, 2008
The aroma is sweet fudgy chocolate and coffee that are strong enough to hide some off-notes that seem to be hiding.
The flavor is sweet fudgy chocolate and some oatmeal and nuts followed by an acidic stale coffee. The mouthfeel is thin and watery with little carbonation.
Overall, it’s not very complex and does have some flaws but is still enjoyable.
Draft. A sad excuses for what should be one hell of a beer. Chalky devoid of almost all taste with a bittered finish. poor/useless. ucusty (2691) - raleigh, North Carolina, USA - APR 30, 2008
Pour is dark brown. Minimal lacing. Coffee on the nose. Thin bodied malty sweet jimbowood (1036) - Freeport, Georgia, USA - APR 30, 2008
tons of espresso. Not enough love. No good. Too bitter and watered down. Drain, here I come.
