Cask at GBBF 2012 ... dark brown ... thin tan head ... huge mellow coffee ... light sweet roast nose ... light fizzy ... dark malt nose ... loads of coffee 3.7 Scopey (14523) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 29, 2012
Bottle from Mr Lawrence Wine Merchants. It pours very dark brown with a gigantic beige head. The nose is smooth coffee, light roast, lactose, some raspberry and jam in the background. The taste is bitter instant coffee, roasty, wood, toast, slight burnt notes and earth with a very dry finish. Light body and moderate carbonation. Too thin and one-dimensional. Not enough body to carry this sort of thing off.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 19/05/2012. Per the pump clip, this is a coffee infused mild, which might be a contradiction. Deep, reddish brown with a slight, off-white head. An aroma of camp coffee, berry fruits and a touch of caramel. The flavour was similar, with plenty more fruit, before some roasted coffee beans and a gently bitter finish. A great low ABV beer. jackl (8029) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 31, 2012
Cask @ CPK London. #12 in the generally excellent ’Freestyle Fridays’ series. Light watery reddish brown color with hardly any head. The nose is light cherry and coffee, some cream and baked bread. The taste is watery creamed coffee, hints of lactose. Some blackberry, but mostly I’m getting watered-down coffee. Roasted malts, some brown sugar and light woody dryness on the finish. Thin on the tongue. Overall, this beer gets a good amount of flavor for the abv, though I didn’t find the flavors to be massively appealing. jfb (6234) - GERMANY - JUN 15, 2012
(draught) pours a hazy copper-brown colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of vanilla, coffee beans, earth and brown sugar, with a hint of herbal hops, lots of chocolate icing and vanilla. flavour is like drinking pure cold coffee, with small hints of vanilla, dark chocolate, grass and a light toasted-bitter finish. very thin body with soft carbonation. johndoughty (5403) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUL 21, 2012
Bottle. Black with a medium head. Coffee flavours dominate.Smooth and refreshing with lots of body considering its relatively low strength. Impressive and different. planky84 (3215) - Lee, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 30, 2012
Bottle from Mr Lawrence Wine Merchants, Brockley. Reddish-brown pour with a beige head. Full on coffee aroma, quite vegetative. Strange flavour combination- some coffee, beetroot, parsnip. Smoky-bitter finish.
