On tap at the Craft. Clear brown - red ale. Little pale cream head. Light semi dry palate. Very mild carbonation. Mild piney hops over mild brown malts. Semi dry finish. Alright but lacks any wow factor at all.

Caramel brown...bit hazy...thin frothy off white head...some lacing
Aroma - Caramel malts...soft grassy and citrus hops..hint of grapefruit...bit of toffee...bit of yeast
Taste of soft grassy hops, soft citrus hops, bit of grapefruit and lemon, caramel malts, some toffee, bit of toast
Palate - soft carb, medium body, lots more hoppy bitterness, zesty citrus soften by the malts. Finish lingering bitter with some salty toast that lingers too long
Overall - This isn’t a Black IPA - more a hoppy Brown Ale, plenty of flavour
Cask at Craft Beer Co London, pours a reddish dark brown with a foamy off-white head, fresh piney hops on the nose and palate, a little grass, well balanced, very tasty. downender (8693) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 15, 2012
Cask-conditioned at the Cornubia, Bristol 14/1/2012. Medium brown in colour with an off-white head. Grassy Hop aroma with a touch of earthy malt. Flavour was similar with a lengthy, bitter finish and hint of pine. Good. Leighton (21551) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 12, 2012
Cask at CBC, London. Pours clear brown with a foamy, off-white head. Kind of a woody, grassy and lightly abrasively hoppy beer. There’s some toast, light dirt, grass in wood in the flavor. Light sweetness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Grassy toast finish. Very dry. Nothing great.
