Bottle shares by Adam. Thanks man.
Hazy yellow body with soft white head. Aromas include lemons, hops, crackers. Bitter hops with lemony, tart citrus and a tangy finish. Pretty good. DrSilverworm (10000) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 17, 2015
12oz bottle, thanks to Michael. Nice chocolate up front, good earthy hop, some caramel. Mild roast. Medium to bigger body, decent full feel. Lighter carbonation. Mild slick texture. Very dark red brown color. Ring of bubbly khaki head, some small bits of lace. Moderate sweet taste, light to moderate bitter, pleasant touch of heat. Plum, raisin in the finish. Smooth, tasty old ale. Satisfying to enjoy with my sandwich, but a bit sweet on it’s own. jeremyd365 (124) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - OCT 11, 2008
Poured a very dark amber which seemed highly carbonated and had a thick, light brown head that stayed foamy for awhile. Smells sweet, almost belgian-y with maybe a little hop in there. The flavor is a rich olde ale consistant with others that I have tried (and quite good!). It’s sweet with a bitter finish and a bit of a tart aftertaste. It’s medium-bodied in the mouth and quite drinkable. Seems pretty gentle for 8.5% and well worth the try! milljam (682) - Norman, Oklahoma, USA - DEC 30, 2008
Way too carbonated...maybe a bad bottle. Flavor of the beer was a bit unbalanced...harsh in the finish. Strong hops and sweet malt, but not the best balance. jvmiller (558) - Bel Air, Maryland, USA - DEC 30, 2008

Bottle at Ann Arbor. Poured clear reddish brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted sweet malt and small dark fruit aroma. Medium body with a thick smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where exceeded.

On tap at Crunchy’s, East Lansing. Deep translucent red-brown body, medium tight cream head. Nose of grape, brown sugar, and toast, sweet and somewhat bitter. Leathery, boozy body with grape, caramel, brown sugar, toast, and hints of butterscotch. Strong but boring. cubs (10746) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - NOV 16, 2011
Bottle in Detroit. Caramel brown appearance with a tan head. Dark caramel, chocolate, slight toffee aroma. Rich toffee, thick caramel, dark chocolate, slightly nutty flavor with a touch of booziness on the finish. dresden (1581) - Saskatchewan, CANADA - MAY 15, 2013
Deep brown with a red hue. Aroma is chocolate, dark fruit and nuts. A smooth and rich beer, with some nuttiness, and sweetness. and mild fruit flavours. Alcohol very well hidden. It’s an interesting beer, but not mind blowing. JaBier (8570) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - MAY 27, 2013
