On tap. Pours a black brown color with a light brown soapy head. Notes of dark chocolate, smoke, brownie, and dust. Bit thin and sweet. mgriff2000 (1) - Orion township, Michigan, USA - AUG 28, 2015 does not count
Sickeningly sweet. There was no aroma or taste of chocolate or fudge. It smelled sort of like cotton candy, but it tasted more like cough syrup. I couldn’t finish it. superspak (5694) - Michigan, USA - JUL 28, 2015
12 ounce bottle into pint glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent seasonal release. Pours nearly opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger dense dark tan head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, fudge, toast, dark bread, light smoke/char, herbal, and roasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of roast/bready malt, fudge, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, fudge, toast, dark bread, light smoke/char, herbal, and roasted earthiness. Fair amount of herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, fudge, toast, dark bread, light smoke/char, and herbal/roasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of roast/bready malt, fudge, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great roasted bitterness/sweetness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Moderate amount of dryness with only light lingering flavors after a short period the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/chalky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice flavored dry stout style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of roast/bready malt, fudge, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering. 4oz on tap at the Corner Brewery. Very dark brown, near-black color. Thin ring of khaki head. Caramel, some nice chocolate, coffee, moderate roast. Moderate sweet taste, light to moderate bitter. Good longer malt finish. Medium body. Light carbonation. Mild slick. Some decent chewiness. An alright stout. Kind of sweet and caramely.

Pours a dark brown with no foam head. Aroma is roast, nut, and chocolate. Flavor is mainly roast. The bottle suggests this is a sweet stout, but it drinks more like a dry stout. The fudge adds nothing to this, though it’s a cool idea. Not terrible, but not as advertised either. Worth one try at least. Mark_Eck (1998) - - MAY 3, 2014
Pours black. Aroma is light roasted malts and chocolate. Taste is sweet but a bit too weak. paintedmaple (671) - People’s Republic of Bloomington, Indiana, USA - JAN 14, 2014
Some weirdness here and not in a good way...kinda OK dry cocoa stout, but with a metallic after taste that just kept hanging on. I wouldn’t have another one of these. chinchill (5075) - South Carolina, USA - AUG 9, 2013
Served on tap at ABC in Ann Arbor.
Poured virtually black with a small but durable tan head.
Some chocolate in the nose but very little in the taste where there was a far mor prominent coffee note - this was the reaction of 3-of-3 craft beer drinkers at the table.
Very smooth; full body; well chosen low carbonation.
A nice stout but lacking the chocolate or fudge note that the names suggests. BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - AUG 5, 2013
Nasty. Smokey. Thin. Yuck. Rated this with another app and BeerBuddy unfortunately won't let me import comments.
