On tap at the brewpub. Next to black in color, with a small, dense dark beige head. The aroma is heavily roasted, lightly burnt and there is also a touch of dried fruits and dark chocolate. It’s smooth and dry, softly carbonated and full to medium bodied. Roasted and burnt malts, roasted bitterness, some piney and chocolatey notes in the flavor. Some more dried fruits towards the mostly dry, roasted finish. Quite nice this one, but a tad too burnt I think. 150615 Tmoney99 (15043) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 5, 2005

Sample at the brewpub: Pours pitch black with a thin light beige head. Spotty lacing. Roasted malt and coffee aroma. Medium, smooth body with a nice roasted coffee character, along with some malt and chocolate flavors. The finish is creamy and sweet yet it leaves a fairly bitter coffee aftertaste behind. Not too shabby. hopdog (13102) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 6, 2006

A good coffee. Appropriate carbonation as is true on their entire lineup. Medium plus mouthfeel. jcwattsrugger (12551) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - SEP 3, 2008
