Pour on tap at Crunchy’s, hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, oxidized sugars, some orange, hints of earth, spice, grass, slight pine. Taste was a mix of orange, pine, grass into caramel, finishing slightly sweet, slightly boozy. wmubronco1992 (709) - Coldwater, Michigan, USA - JUL 8, 2015
Bottle. Pours a murky brown. Small creamy tan head. Sweet aroma. Flavor is of bread, toast, and nuts. Definitely taste the alcohol. Bigger palate. Hops are there, but really have mellowed. Wonder if this bottle is pretty old. If so its held out ok, but to me the flavor is much more like a strong ale then a DIPA MrBunn (2826) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 12, 2015
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a medium head and aromas of citrusy soap. Flavor is a booze bomb with lots of sugars and a stinging hops presence. Lots of resin and floral hops play nice with the heavy ABV and make this seem like one of those IIPA/Barley Wine hybrids. smroush (281) - Michigan, USA - APR 3, 2015
Aromas of sweet citrusy hops. Quite sweet. A bit of dough.
Medium, off-white head and a copper/amber color.
Pretty sweet palate, medium to heavy bitterness.
Medium body, creamy and a bit oily texture; average carbonation; a long sweet, bitter and carbonated finish.
Overall a pretty good beer.

Simcoe aroma. Kind of reminds me of the Victory IPA. Burnt orange color with a small white head. Not too crazy about the taste. Very bitter. Off balance. Might be a good beer to get drunk quick.

pours cloudy golden orange with a creamy light beige-orange cap, good retention and lacing. caramel doughyness, lightly sour-ish red fruits - recd grapes, barley sugar, pine, diacetyls, eggs - sulfur, faint fruitiness - strawberries and sweet pumpkim meat - almot rotten ones, booze. moderately low carbonation, medium body - oily, sticky and sweet, harsh citrusy-spicy-piney finish. thick undrinkable barley sugar. harsh pine and butter. all but delicious.. rumproasts (5359) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - AUG 3, 2014
bottle. Deep golden with small head. Quite sweet with a good amount of booziness and substantial hops. I can’t say I’d recommend this much.

12 oz bottle shared by DrSilverworm. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet caramel malts, ample fruity character, quite a bit of oxidation that had me trying to determine the age of the bottle, stale toasted bread, the bitterness was very mild. I like my DIPAs to have a much more assertive hop profile. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 4, 2014
12oz bottle, thanks to umich03jm. Shared with alexsdad06. Totally hazy amber color. Thin off-white head. Decent, kind of loose bits of lace. Good orange citrus hop, some pine, light peachy tropical fruity aromas, maybe some pineapple. Tangerine. Light caramel, kind of biscuity malt. Bigger bitter taste, light sweet, light bit of alcohol warmth. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation, light dry finish. Better than expected. Pretty solid, balanced DIPA. flatmatt (1576) - Northville, Michigan, USA - MAY 15, 2014
12 oz bottle. Pours a completely hazed orange amber with some particles and an off-white head. Aroma strong on caramel and biscuit with hints of citrusy hops. Flavor is slightly stale biscuit with caramel, some citrus and berry and even a bit of bourbon. Definitely an older bottle, but there is still a little something about it.
