From notes. Finally getting around to adding beers from the MBG Fall Beer Fest. Enjoyed on October 24. The pour is a darker brown, with a good amount of garnet or ruby shining through. There is a light creamy head and some decent lace. The aroma is pretty spicy, with cinnamon and nutmeg, maybe with a little clove in there. I’m not really getting any pumpkin at all, which is surprising. The flavor is pretty light as well. I was wishing there would be a great pumpkin dominance and a great cream character. The creaminess is there, but the flavor isn’t really so. The mouth feel is nicely velvety and the creaminess of the carbonation is great. The aftertaste is lingeringly spicy and dry. Not too shabby firstsip (733) - Michigan, USA - OCT 22, 2013
On tap at brewery. Dark pour. Nose of fall spices, like a craft store. Dry and roasty, with pumpkin on the end. More pumpkin spice character as beer warmed. Good. Isor (30) - - NOV 1, 2012
Not the most flavor Ive had or expected from a pumpkin (cream) stout but not bad. Im sure itd taste better warmer., but that might just be me.
