New Oxford, Salford 27 Jan 13. Kjempedyprød. Lavt - litt farget skum. Bra sjokolade / lakrisaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken minner om en stout / porter. Avslutter tørt.

Cask (handpump) @ The New Oxford, 11 Bexley Sq, Salford, Manchester, England M3 6DB.
Clear dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted - dark roasted, chocolate - dark chocolate. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, chocolate, roasted, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.
Cask by hand pump, shared half pint at the New Oxford Winter Ales Festival in Salford. Nice patches at the top of a pitch black body. Smell of earth and chocolate malt. Taste of cold coffee added by hints of cocoa. Bitter dark ending. Good, a bit thin in the mouth though (Greater Manchester, 27.01.2013). A dark, slightly fruity ale with a small head. Some roasted malts are evident and its both mild and subtle in character. Leighton (22027) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 29, 2013
