On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy brown with a small tan head. Aroma of nutty sweet malt and light fruits. Flavor is still nutty with sweet fruits and a bready malt and bitter finish. Pretty easy drinking and tasty.

Well having had several alts in dusseldorf it isnt exactly the same but I liked it . Lots of nuts and some butter, cloudy and more like a thin version of their bitter

Pours a solid black color with a Brown tint and a healthy brown head that fades to leave a light layer of bubbles on the surface. Spotty, bubbly lacing. Aroma of lightly roasted malt and light hops. Flavor that of a subdued bitter dry stout. Light body and just a little bitter on the finish. A little too light for the looks, but pleasantly light.

Bottle. Pour is clear dark brown with a light off-white head. Aroma is roasted malt, light coffee, faint chocolate, and a mild pine hop component. Flavor is roasty and crisp. 12oz bottle. Pours a creamy dark chocolate color with a huge airy bubbly light tan head. Aroma of chocolate chip cookie dough, bright berries, sourish, sharp and very odd, surely infected. Flavor follows, dark chocolate cookie dough for sure and old coffee, very cooke like, hint of tart berries, so weird. Massive carbonation, harsh. On tap. Poured a dark brown with a thick light brown head. Aroma had notes of caramel, cereal and dark breads. Flavor was full of dark sweet notes, such as caramel and molasses.
