12 oz bottle from Ogglethorp (thanks!). Pours a hazy reddish amber with a small head. Nose is toasted grain, chocolate and floral malts. Taste is the same with some nuttiness. Finish is dry. High carbonation. Medium body. This one does not work to me...i think a different hop bill is in order... spector (906) - Lancaster, Ohio, USA - DEC 23, 2006

Bottle. Pours a cloudy ruby color, with a medium sized tan/yellow head, some lacing. Aroma is Piney hops, caramel, malt. Flavor is malt, pine, grapefruit, caramel. Palate is medium, medium carbonation, sweet finish. Decent. DrewTaylor (154) - Michigan, USA - DEC 3, 2006
More bitter aroma than its taste. Hops and caramel also make up this dark red, thick-headed beer. Unique.

12oz - Aroma of piney hops and sticky carmel malts. Pours deep dark red with a big cream colored head and great lacing. Flavor matches aroma with a stiff malt back. Palate is sticky. Different and tasty. michidan07 (22) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - OCT 8, 2006
UPDATED: OCT 17, 2006 This is my staple beer. Though they just started bottling it, I’ve only ever had it on tap at the brewery. Here, it varies batch-to-batch. Generally it’s full with great malts, and a clean, bitter hop finish. Both refreshing and satisfying, it’s just what I want out of an ale. Hoppier of late.
......Bottle, October 2006:
Much darker color, fuller body and flavor out of the new bottles. Simply fabulous. brentfeesh (1216) - Mansfield, Ohio, USA - SEP 27, 2006
Rated on draft at the brewing co. the day before my Lear approved ass chewing. Pours a hazy ark brown with a light head. Light spicy aroma. Sharp grain and malt sweetness moving into pine bitterness that lingers and becomes strong. Wood notes. Full dry body. Fair beverage, and fairly strong for a bitter. heemer77 (5361) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - JUN 5, 2006
The body was dark copper colored. The aroma was iced tea and toffee. The taste was toffee. The finiah was a hint of chocolate. A little roug, but still a decent session beer. hopdog (13191) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 6, 2006
On tap at the Arbor Brew Pub. Poured a deeper and cloudy dull copper color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of light roast, citrus, some caramel, and very light spice. Tastes follow the same. Light lacing left on the glass.
