Old Fountain. Cask. Opaque dark brown - red beer, small tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Very modest carbonation. Smooth dark malt with a very mellow roast. Whisper of dark fruits. Finishes semi dry. It’s fine but a bit one note.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 3/10/2013. Almost jet black, with the merest hint of red and a thin, yet long lasting tan head. Plain chocolate aplenty, a touch of porridge oats, and a roasty finish with some hops to the fore. A good stout.
