Aromas are primarily a combo of the rustic rye flavor and citrus/grapefruit hops. A bit of bread aromas.
Medium Amber color, a hint of cloudiness, sparse light tan head.
Light to medium sweetness; medium to heavy bitterness.
Medium body; a bit slick texture; medium to slightly lively carbonation.
Overall a fairly nice combination of the wild/rustic rye and a fairly pronounced hop presence. Lutz2jm (277) - North Carolina, USA - AUG 25, 2015

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle, from jsquire, poured into a shaker. Translucent orange with small off-white head. Aroma is malty, medium body, medium carbonation, and some thin small-bubble lacing. Taste is caramel, with some nice citrus hops, some herbal hops, and bitter rye finish. italianjohn (3113) - Penndel, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 18, 2014
Hazy orange/amber pour with a thin off white head ..... aroma is of rye and sweet caramel malts with some earthy floral and fruity hops .... taste is of spicy rye, with earthy tea like notes and floral hop flavor ... also has fruity notes .. finish is dry with spicy rye and a light floral hop bite lingering ... caution not needed, but decent stuff

12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy copper with an off-white head. Aroma of floral hops, a lot of caramel malts, some dough, alcohol, and some hints of off notes. Flavor the same with a weird finish. Average texture. Probably won’t finish a third of this bottle. rumproasts (5342) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - AUG 28, 2014

Bottle... Pours cloudy and burnt-orange with a small, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. The bouquet features a swirl of caramel, fruitcake, spicy grains and cotton candy. Full-bodied and creamy with lazy carbonation. The flavor is lightly bitter, spicy, malty and fruity. Finishes mildly raspy with an aftertaste of caramelized rye malt. way too sweet and malty for a "RyePA" despite the spice and flavor it offers. kind of messy and overly orchestrated. somehow finishes bitter with some alcohol heat - not a remarkable brew. BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - AUG 15, 2014
Bottle at home. Pours a dark amber with a thin off white head that lingers. Aroma is slight toffee and citrus flavor follows with moderate bitterness. Some alcohol is noticeable. Overall a very enjoyable beer.
