Hazy pale, white cover of a head. The aroma is grapefruit and light caramel. The flavor is grapefruit, tangerine, caramel and herbal. Medium/light body is moderate, dense carbonation. Dogbrick (14326) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 19, 2007
Cask sample at the brewpub: Slightly cloudy orange color with a medium thick and rocky off-white head that has fair retention. Sheets of lacing. Aroma of citrus and hops underscored by a pleasantly sweet malt. Medium-bodied and moderately bitter with hops, grapefruit and a nice malt base. The finish is hoppy and lasting. Overall this is a good cask IPA. JMFG (1587) - Florida, USA - MAR 29, 2007
UPDATED: MAR 30, 2007 Bottle. Clear copper color with a thick tight white head. Sweet floral hop aroma present. Nice malty start with a citrusy hop finish that was pleasantly and surprisingly strong. Pretty good IPA, could step up the aroma a bit. vyvvy (6839) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAR 7, 2007
Thanks to Hopscotch for sending this one my way. Pours murky copper with a generous beige head. The aroma has some grapefruit hops, toasted malt and orange citrus hops. Unfortunately there is also wet cardboard oxidation. Medium body with lots of tingly carbonation. Taste starts with lots of woody / cardboard hops with some malt and a bit of non-hop spice. The finish is sharp and astringent. I think this one sat around a bit too long. Sometime in the future I’ll have to find this one again. DewBrewer (294) - Austin, Texas, USA - FEB 24, 2007
12 oz bottle. Thanks Schroppfy! Amber color and medium head, a bit cloudy. Nice bittering...wow, pretty bitter! Resiny, not citrusy. There is malt to back it up. Some mineral flavors but overall pretty nice. The alcohol comes through. Good beer!

Feel fairly certain that those seeking specific notes on flavor peruse ratings of others. If you wish general sensory notes and their affects upon the brain damaged, you may continue to read mine. This was pleasant to the extreme. One of those with a high level of bittering and near perfect balance with malt. Wish like heck I could pull what hop(s) were used. The downfall of this was what was once an asset - that it was hand delivered to me by Scroppfy, but now I have but an empty bottle upon which to reflect. *sigh*

Bottle. Thanks to jdg0608. Poured a cloudy golden color. Aroma of hops. Taste of very good hops. jgd0608 (187) - Zeeland, Michigan, USA - JAN 21, 2007
12 oz bottle courtesy of kenb. Thanks!! Pours a hazy orange, with a thin white head.Citrus Aroma. Medium Mouthfeel, with tastes similar as the smell. Solid IPA, and another good beer from Michigan. Silphium (3224) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - JAN 13, 2007
Bottle. Cloudy sediment-laden peach body, thin off-white head. Strong citrusy aroma, piney, with sweet caramels and breads. Caramely, bready body with light sweetness, balanced by medicinal, herbal hops. There’s a funky yeast component that reminds me of Leopold Bros., another Ann Arbor brewer. Nice. bgburdman9 (861) - columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 11, 2007
On tap at the pub. Nice citrus hops in the aroma and also a little caramel malt. Pretty sweet overall but a nice hop flavor in the background.
