2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Had this in bottle.
Aroma: on the nose there is plenty of fruit and a slight sweetness, mainly some orange, some watermelon and some grapefruit.
Appearance: normalish looking IPA, not particularly thick head.
Taste: pleasing at the tip of the tongue, with the fruit character overshadowed by a deep bitterness, with some grapefruit still present. No noticeable malts. Towards the back of the mouth the bitterness was acidic and vinegary, reminiscent of bile. This was the aspect of the bottle that completely threw me off.
Palate: light body for an IPA, quite astringent finish.
Overall: this beer is great in the glass, but not when you swallow it.

[ Trade by madmitch76 ]. Clear medium yellow colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, grass, citrus, grapefruit, light pine. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, citrus. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Less hop aroma than expected with some biscuit malt present. Opaque golden colour with small lasting head. The hops arrive with the taste and really showcase the fantastic Chinook hop with some spice and great pine flavours with a lasting bitter finish. Another quality beer from Arbor. It poured a healthy golden colour with excellent carbonation and a small off-white head. The aroma was an odoriferous delight: a very pungent mix of grapefruit, lemon and pine.
The taste followed on from this with clean, crisp flavours. Dare we say zesty? It’s certainly packed full of lemon, grapefruit, pine, mandarin peel and a spicy bitterness. Lots of bitterness, in fact. It really builds up into something of a crescendo of a dry aftertaste that stays with you for quite awhile.
This is a top-drawer beer, made even more impressive by being bottle-conditioned. They’ve really captured Chinook’s greatness here and it’s like rubbing your face in a hop bale. One of the best beers I’ve had this year. Geokkjer (7627) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 16, 2013

Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, citrus, grass and floral. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle. A cloudy one, golden-orange beer topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma is piney and resiny, with oranges and some pale malts. Quite bitter, almost astringently, with pine cones, pale malts and lots of orange and orange peel. Nice bitterness in the end too. Full body, dry and softly carbonated. Pleasant and tasteful. 130216 Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 16, 2013
Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Intense, herbal hop aroma. Medium body, sweet and fruity, bubblegum notes and then a massive and astingent bitterness - as in most Arbor single hops. 160213
