50cl bottle from Bitter Virtue, Southampton. A slightly hazy straw coloured pour with a thin white head; lemony citrus aroma with a touch of earthy spice; crisp, citrusy, tropical fruit flavour; with a slowly building spicy bitterness. Rather good. SaintMatty (7476) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - JAN 9, 2013
500ml Bottle - Golden with a slight haze. Lemon, earthy hops and malt in the aroma. Earthy and lemony taste with notes of earthy hops featuring in the rather grassy and fairly bitter finish. johninmelb (1127) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 2, 2013
Bottle from Teign Cellars, Devon. Grapefruit and Lychee hop nose with a hint of dirty socks. Pours cloudy gold with a fluffy white head. Flavour is bitter and dry with an excellent sharpness from the hop. But, as with all of the single varietals from this brewer I’ve tried to date, there is a good balance to the delivery and it finishes long and strong. For the strength, excellent.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a very slightly cloudy orangy yellow with a thin white broken head. The aroma is floral with some fruity notes. The flavour is very clean, sharp and bitter. There are some grassy floral notes in there and some stinging nettles and a slightly soapy aftertaste too. It’s quite a shocking beer and I don’t mean that in a bad way! My first mouthful knocked me back as it was so different to anything else i’d ever tasted, but it really grew on me over time and I really enjoyed the rest of the bottle. This would be a great thirst quencher in the summer time. DruncanVeasey (8260) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - DEC 3, 2012
Bottle conditioned, 500ml. Intense hop aroma equal parts spearmint, pine, jaffa orange, pineapple, jasmine and slight acetone with a discreet pale malt and monkey nut backdrop. Brilliant pale gold speckling with lace. Assertively hoppy flavour with crisp, resonant mint, orange, pine and floral notes. Earthy with hop and malt but squeaky clean. Pungent tonic finish countered with biscuit and monkey nut. Absolutely singing with hops, but not overdone. Would more than hold its own on the bar at Russian River. cgarvieuk (25686) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 23, 2012

Appearance: Hazy golden body with a medium white head. Light carbonation. Nice lacing.
Taste: Very floral with cereal and herbal flavours. Strong, lingering bitterness.
Palate: Thin to medium body with a slightly oily texture. Soft carbonation.
Overall: On this evidence, I think Nugget is a hop that would work better in combination with others, rather that on its own. Floral and very bitter.
Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol, 9/09/2012. This was the unfined version. Deep gold in colour with a sight white head. Light, herbal aroma with a slightly floral edge. Decent, cereal malt flavour, with a hint of fruit and lingering bitter finish. Good.
