Draft. Poured a clear golden color with a mostly lasting frothy white head with good lacing. Moderate to heavy yeast, wood and complex fruit aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy sour flavor with a medium to heavy tart & sour finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout beer.

750mL Bottle. Thanks so much Sean! Geez, its been a while since Ive had an Arbor sour, and thankfully this one doesnt have any acetone in it! Aroma gurgles with a hint of manure, some fermenting grasses, and a punch of dill and lavender herbalness. On the tongue a swift kick of lemon acid, nice and halting. What starts out as clean and rich in the lacto-acid swiftly takes on a flailing herb and spice quality as it kicks and screams its way out the door. The acidity is gut wrenching, but good in the best way super sour beers can be sour, not like pickle juice, but certainly not soft. This is very decent, with some fun plays of flavor and lacking the problems that past Arbor sours have suffered from.

Pours unclear hazy amber with a greyish white head. Aroma is sweet with light tart wild tangy lemon yeast. Flavor brings tart springy lemon notes with a dry ending.

Bottle: The aroma consists of strawberry candies, raspberry, light lemon, cinnamon, and oak. It pours a cloudy/murky brownish-orange with a small beige head that fades to a thick ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of strawberry candies and lighter raspberry. The finish quickly hits pretty hard with sour lemon, citrus, and a hint of oak. At times its mouth puckering. Other times, the sourness seems to be eased by the sweet strawberry. Light-medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation. Overall, its very tasty, but my only slight complaint is that the strawberry flavor comes across as artificial or candy-ish at times. Generally, while I like strawberries, Im not a big fan of strawberry candies. With that said, its not like the flavor is overbearing by any means.

Bottle:   Bright caramel, becomes darker as I near the bottom of the bottle, moderate to large frothy tannish head, spotty lacing.   Wonderful nose of flora and spices, with wooden notes from the barrel aging.   Very tart up front, smooth, a bit of fresh floral notes, some faint barnish or musty flavors on the exit.   Not too sour, at least to the point of over salivating.   This one is just right, great aroma and flavor, all being very floral like, with a good dose of tarness.   This was a pleasant surprise.   Finish shows a bit of the oak.   Moderate dryness on this one too.   Very well done!   Thanks for this rarity Kevin!

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. The beer pours an orange color with a white head. The aroma has a lot of sour apple and cherry notes, as well as some biscuit and funk qualities. The flavor is similar. I get some very nice sour fruit (apples, cherries, grapes), as well as some light funk, light leather and a high level of tartness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Very refreshing and easy to drink.

bottle... bright dark orange, medium clarity, off white ring forms... a bit sweet for a sour, reminds me of faro, barley, wet oak, and hay, it works... again mostly sweet but more tart than the nose implies, Id sat this is a great faro, easy to drink, smooth, nice bite, quite enjoyable and probably the best Arbor beer Ive had
