COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Strawberries are Springs first fruit. They announce the end of the long Midwest winter and welcome the lazy days of summer. They herald a season of weekends at the lake, walking barefoot through the grass, and whiling away the afternoon at your local beer garden. Be sure to savor your Strawberry Blonde while it lasts because like a Michigan summer, itll be gone before you know it. Food Pairings: Great with tangy BBQ, balsamic vinaigrette, citrusy or spicy dishes, and strawberry rhubarb pie Tasting Notes: This is a sophisticated fruit ale that doesnt forget its a beer. Rich and flavorful medium bodied beer with a fresh, floral strawberry aroma. Citrus, spice, and fruit are blended seamlessly for a subtle yet distinct flavor that never turns too sweet.

Has a nice strawberry smell and a sweet wheaty taste. The strawberry taste is barely there. Just the right amount of sweetness. Refreshing.

Draft at Reno's East. Redish gold with no head. Smells like mild strawberry. Not too sweet which I like.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours hazy deep orange/amber color with a small off white head with poor retention, that reduces to a minimal ring of lace pretty quickly. Minimal lacing on the glass. Aromas of strawberry, mango, apricot, orange peel, pear, coriander, honey, toast, biscuit, light caramel, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of strawberry, spices, fruity yeast, and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big strawberry, mango, apricot, orange peel, pear, coriander, honey, toast, biscuit, light caramel, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Minimal herbal/spice bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of strawberry, mango, apricot, orange peel, pear, coriander, honey, toast, biscuit, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of strawberry, spices, fruity yeast, and bready malt flavors; with no cloying sweetness present after the finish. Light carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good fruited imperial blonde style. All around good balance and robustness of strawberry, spices, fruity yeast, and bready malt flavors; and very smooth to drink for the ABV. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Pailhead (6493) - Plymouth, Michigan, USA - JUN 10, 2009
Bottle: The aroma has lots of strawberry, but Im also getting blueberry. It pours a cloudy reddish-orange with a small off-white head that quickly fades to a ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts with strawberry, but it tastes more like blueberries as it builds to the finish. The finish has some moderate grassy hoppiness along with some spice. Medium bodied with very mild carbonation. Solid...I was pleasantly surprised by this one.

Not overpowering on the fruity side, this ale satisfies the thirsty, and suits the savory.

Served on draft at the Michigan Summer Beerfest, 2010, as part of RBSG festivities. Pours a hazy dark amber color with a medium offwhite head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of peach, strawberry and slightly nutty notes. The taste is strawberry with some bready notes. Slightly bitter. Medium bodied. Decent.
