Strawberries are Spring’s first fruit. They announce the end of the long Midwest winter and welcome the lazy days of summer. They herald a season of weekends at the lake, walking barefoot through the grass, and whiling away the afternoon at your local beer garden. Be sure to savor your Strawberry Blonde while it lasts because like a Michigan summer, it’ll be gone before you know it. Food Pairings: Great with tangy BBQ, balsamic vinaigrette, citrusy or spicy dishes, and strawberry rhubarb pie Tasting Notes: This is a sophisticated fruit ale that doesn’t forget it’s a beer. Rich and flavorful medium bodied beer with a fresh, floral strawberry aroma. Citrus, spice, and fruit are blended seamlessly for a subtle yet distinct flavor that never turns too sweet.

Pours hazy with a pinkish/red hue and an off white head. It has a sweet aroma with strawberries, yeast, and malt. It is sweet with a strawberry and wheaty taste. Slightly syrupy aftertaste.

Bottle from Westin Airport Hotel in Detroit on 8 October 2017. First beer from this brewery and it was an easy one to drink. Light red in colour with a modest head of white foam. Sweet strawberry jam aroma and a similar flavour. No bitterness at all but plenty of sweetness. Refreshing and crisp in the mouth.

No head or lacing. Cloudy caramel reddish appearance. Musty aroma. Mild fruity notes up front with some malt taste in the middle and fruit again to finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle PKG ON 11.15.2016. Nose wheat and stiff grain, vague fruit. Pour murky dark amber (!) with a soapy beige head. Taste very sweet with strong, fresh strawberry juice, nice bready resolution with grain throughout. Alcohol warmth and some spice by the back end, bit yeasty with tart accents. Not wonderfully clean, but essentially values as a wine cooler. Don’t hate it but doubt I’ll be having it again. [2017.06.19: 2.2]

Man, been gettin a few bottles from arbor lately. This is a cloudy dirty looking brew. Be-careful, this is not yer typical strawberry blonde, she packs a kick. Heavy alcohol taste bud palate coating impact. Nope, this is not a light alky blond at all. Thicker almost cloying effects from the spices mixed with alky I guess. Different kind of strawberry juice spiced thing, would almost think this feels like a domestic barleywine; you know, sweet higher alky untrained roughness. Perhaps if it aged a bit? Could not drink 2.

bottle @ Belmont Party Supply / Dayton KY --- Nearly clear dark amber, beige head that is quickly down to a bubbly rim head, streaks of lace. Taste is malt that adds mediocre fizz and a little strawberry on the swallow, followed by a grassy floral, slightly bitter, finish. Very light for 7.75, even a little watery. No one I’ll re-do.

Notes from summer. Draft. Pours a hazy amberish color. Aroma and taste are light biscuit and strawberries.

Pour on tap at Crunchy’s, slightly hazy orange-red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of strawberries, fresh berry, cherry, hints of biscuit, slight yeast, touch of spice notes into a bit of vanilla. Taste was a mix of strawberry, some slight cherry into a bit of biscuit, bread, hints of spice, finishing fairly sweet.

4oz on tap at the Corner Brewery. Hazy orange amber color. Minimal ring of off-white head. Pleasant amount of strawberry, and some malt sweetness. Kind of like strawberry preserves. Mild herbal spiciness. Moderate sweet taste, very light bitter, just a hint of tang. Some raw grain. Medium-plus body. Kind of slick texture. Very light carbonation. Touch under carbed. An alright strawberry blond overall though. I dig the flavor. Would not want a whole pour though, 4oz was plenty.
