cask, special
Well balanced deep amber ale, brewed with a generous quantity of Australian Galaxy hops. The hops contribute tropical fruit flavours and aromas to compliment the full bodied maltiness.

zacgillbanks (5128) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - MAY 12, 2014
Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. This is a very hazy dark amber coloured beer with a malty and sweet tropical fruity flavour, warming toffee notes and a zesty fruity finish.

Bottle @ THT May, courtesy of deanso. Pours a headless amber beer with the aroma of old bittering hops and some fruit in the background. Flavor is basically only bitter, not much else really. Why is this beer called an amber ale, while almost any other beer from England is called a bitter, but is not bitter at all? Curious..

jmgreenuk (9326) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - MAR 30, 2014
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is tropical fruit hop. The flavour is medium to light bitter with a smooth light fruit weak hop bitter light spice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A somewhat unusual and rather fruity beer. I liked it a lot though.

DruncanVeasey (8225) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - FEB 12, 2014
Bottle. Honey amber poured clear initially with a tight persistent head. Outrageous neat blackcurrant cordial aroma with sprinkles of pine needles and fresh pressed coffee. Intense blackcurrant and berry-hinting coffee flavour up top; lush biscuit and cashew linger follows with a retronasal snort of seawater. Cask condition. Beautiful.

Scopey (14519) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 29, 2014
Keg at Lyric. It pours lightly hazy amber with a small white head. The nose is juicy orange, peach, marmalade and sherbet. The taste is bitter pine, toast, earth, light pepper, orange peel, kumquat, grapefruit and a metallic twang with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. A bit heavy on the carbonation, but otherwise a solid offering.
